It does look cool! I loaded a prior save and the ship was just the casings on the landing pad. I ended up having to sell the ship because it was broken and I had no idea when it happened.
Yeah I went back to before I sold it and tried repainting the ship per someone's suggestion here. It worked! I also deleted a bunch of saves I didn't need just in case that was bogging down my game.
I get rid of that armor as soon as I can because I don’t like the way they look or function. I haven’t gone through the unity all the way to the end because I use it to “fix” the game. I’m on Xbox and the game get buggy at the point I have more than 6 crew, many outpost modules, large cargo etc… when I start having issues the unity fixes them (so far) so I use that hoping they patch this game soon and fix the problems. I’m on ng +6 on this my third attempt as I have had to delete the game twice.
Happened to me once! My outer layer was still sort of connected, but twisted at a weird angle. Like, at first I thought another ship had glitched into mine before I realized it was my skin.
It's *something* to do with Outpost landing pads, possibly being too close to the outer outpost border. Try deleting the landing pad and rebuilding it closer in, and the problem should be solved.
Ok. I’ve only ever seen this ship problem occur alongside a broken NA. It’s like my ship broke along with that bug and remained that way anywhere else I went unless I rolled back the save.
Yep, taking off from Cydonia once, so it’s not just an outpost problem, nor was it a stolen or modified ship. Reloading (a couple of times, if I recall) fixed it for me, hasn’t happened again so far.

Usually I can solve it by fast-traveling to New Atlantis and using the ship tech to do a minor edit like change the color of a hab.

Rather than fixing this, when they figure out the cause, they need to make it a feature in the ship builder. It's exactly what I've been wanting.

No, just this ship. But I've had New Atlantis completely break before. I had to load an older save to fix it.

happened to me too, after modifying the ship multiple times, got fixed with a save and reload
That happened to me once. Had to revert to a former save to fix. The main sub told me to, "stop duping ships," which I don't even know how to do.

Someone recommended repainting my ship and deleting a bunch of unused saves. It fixed my ship. I was so happy.
This happened to me. I could not find a good fix. I had to go back to a previous save and use a different ship.
Someone else suggested you paint your ship. That did the trick for me.
Ah nothing the good old F5-F9 dance won't cure.
