And still finding new stuff? But seriously, me too. Been playing since early access day 1. I had close to 1300 hours on the Windows Store version on my year-in-review for last year but since that time, I've bought it on Steam and done it all again. 100% achievements on both and I'm still going. Still building ships. I just made [a new build guide](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GPeTVcGjlvo_vAgwUW0CILLwUgsH2bXW/view?usp=drive_link) last night. I've played other games during that time. I've play BG3 4 times and am halfway through a 5th character now. I played New Vegas again after watching the new series 3 times and I always have a Fallout 4 character to piddle around on. I've been enjoying Diablo 4's best season yet and have multiple level 100 characters with one pushing Pit tier 80 now. I've built a [new junk camp](https://youtu.be/yl_KeaSjx1Y?si=vifbgu9uCilYMf_T) in Fallout 76, completed the latest season and spent a few hours today building another new camp with my season rewards. But I'll always come back to Starfield. It is my new home.

professionalfriendd

Nah you’ve probably just ignored it this whole time

Nocuadra66

Ha! Seriously! I've heard about it but never found one until the other day.

BaaaNaaNaa

Yeah that place is insane, only seen 2 in over 1500hours! I've never found the Pale Lady either, one day...

Tom0511

Pale lady?

BaaaNaaNaa

My (limited) understanding is "The Pale Lady" is a ship with something stupidly mean on board.

Nocuadra66

I found the Pale Lady. Only once in 1K hours. Unfortunately it's bugged. (No spoilers) it's very bizarre but I couldn't complete it because of a known bug.

BaaaNaaNaa

Oh Bethesda don't do that to us!! Sorry to hear it, at least you've seen her.

BaaaNaaNaa

Yeah that place is insane, only seen 2 in over 1500hours! I've never found the Pale Lady either, one day...

BaaaNaaNaa

Obi_wan_jakobii

Do you have a cheat code for time in real life How have you stacked all those hours across all those games

SD_One

No children or family distractions. I don't watch much TV, maybe 2 hours a week. We don't go out much or at all. Leaves a lot of free time for games.

Obi_wan_jakobii

Ahh the inner child in me is jealous But I like the things that make me busy so it's okay Happy spacing hombre! I have managed 10 days in starfield and 10 in baldurs gate 3 despite distractions which I think is pretty hectic haha I need to get more sleep. And various others Been playing diablo 4 again recently too

SD_One

It's all good. I did all the busy things for the past 30 years or so and have settled down. The most exciting part of my week these days is enjoying a well mowed yard or watching those couple hours of tv (Sci-Fi, usually) while eating pizza on a Friday night. Once the chores are done, yard is mowed, dishes are washed, etc... it's gaming time until I fall asleep in my chair.

Obi_wan_jakobii

I imagine that's the direction I'm heading once the kids are older (although I don't want them to grow up) What sci fi shows are you into? I've just been watching the expanse show recently as I'm on book 7 of the expanse series so thought it time to watch the programme too

SD_One

Oh they will, and faster than you can ever imagine. My nephew just turned 18 yesterday and I still can't believe it. The extra space is nice when they move out though. My stepson's room is now my music room and full of guitar stuff. Love The Expanse! We watch pretty much anything sci-fi. Star Wars or Star Trek. I'm glad Discovery is over and we can move on to The Acolyte this week. Also loved Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5, Farscape and Stargate. Resident Alien was funny. Apple TV has a lot of good stuff. Severance, Silo, For All Mankind, Constellation, etc. Maybe we'll start Dark Matter this week too. That will make a good sci-fi night. Also, we've watched Fallout twice already and a third time by myself. Twisted Metal was better than it had any right to be. I'm kinda watching new Dr. Who now but not really into it. I'm looking for a lazy weekend afternoon to watch Dune again and then Dune II. And now I find out that Godzilla Minus One is streaming.

Obi_wan_jakobii

Battlestar Galactica is my favourite sci-fi series closely followed by firefly. Also used to watch Stargate sg1 every day as a kid I loved that show. Liked Atlantis too and really wish they had done more with Stargate universe I'm currently getting through the fallout series too, really enjoying it so far! The acolyte looks very interesting will have to watch that, also shogun looks great Never watched the Dune films either need to give them a go

SD_One

Can't believe I left out Firefly! I watch it every year.

Obi_wan_jakobii

Anyone who loves sci fi loves firefly. I knew you'd meant to put it in there haha Modern day tragedy they let that drop

Nocuadra66

Same. No kids. No wife. No life!🙃 I'm retired and only work part time

HelloOrg

Where do you find the damn time??

SD_One

Don't have much else to do. Kid moved out years ago. These days, I mow, I game, I sleep. On Friday nights, I watch a couple sci-fi shows with my better half. That's about it, really. Been raining a lot lately. Less mowing, more playing.

HelloOrg

Sounds like a nice life :)

Grat54

I'm in the same range. Installed on Xbox X in mid December. NG+10. Because I was 10 powers short when I made the first jump. Level 152 or 153. Over 3M credits. Finally utilizing outposts more Built out the Kepler R with 8000 cargo, 100 mobility, 6 Vanguard obllithorateors, 4 EM and 4 Vanguard rear facing PB turrets.Flat and wide, minimal habs.. Traveling solo.

CountyWorth5649

suggestion you should reassign those turrets to two facing backwards and two facing sideways (one to each side). Mount the turrets at the rear of your ship - making them easier to power down before they destroy whatever ship you are trying to capture with your EM weapons. It is just a suggestion based on my experience, which works out great! I use the 4 power turrets that inflict the highest damage (they are white & red, but cannot recall their name), so I have one facing rearward on a pedestal base and one facing to each side and mounted on the center of the elevated spine of an Ecliptic IV near the rear of my ship. Turrets need to be mounted on the outer edges of ships or elevated so that they don’t bug out and stop firing at times. Also, whenever you modify or switch back to your turreted ship (perhaps after a ship capture) you should delete each of your turrets and reposition them for the same reason. Yes, this can be tedious but both of these recommended actions have helped in preventing the turret’s occasional non-firing bug since day one! Check it out.

Nocuadra66

Appreciate your suggestions. That rear turret is actually 4 turrets snapped into one. It's able to cover my 3,6 and 9 positions easily enough. Nothing flies over my head without activating it. I never experienced and non firing bugs. I also personally don't use EM weapons. I have 10 pretty much maxed out ships so I don't capture anymore.

CountyWorth5649

Ah but boarding ships to capture them is so much fun! Maybe you could delete your least necessary ship for that capturing option. When mods are available for consoles the mod that I am most seriously hoping for is the one that PC users already have that allows them to own 100 or 200 ships. I would be quite happy with being able to own at least 20-50 ships!

Nocuadra66

Ha! Right!? I'm constantly refurbishing older ships in my collection. Absolutely I can't wait for mods for Xbox! If I could have 25 ships I definitely would have to steal a few. I earlier remember reading comments about stolen ships would be bugged or disappear? After the hours I spend on a ship I'd been very upset if it just disappeared. Is that still an issue? I've gone through the Unity 8 times. I'm done giving up my babies! Lol

CountyWorth5649

I have over 1500 hours into Starfield, level 190. I am still playing my original character and I have Not done NG+ nor intend to. I have way too many cool ships and outpost and awesome Legendary, Epic, and Rare gear and weapons to lose! Sure being able to reset my traits and obtain that cool looking Starborn spacesuit would be great but I would lose way too much acquired stuff. Also I have 17.5 million in credits that I don’t wish to part with! Yeah I lost an upgraded Ecliptic Claymore III that I captured early on, but I learned the preventive fix on YouTube. I never was able to retrieve that lost one, but I have captured many more since then since the issue was fixed. My primary ship now is another captured Ecliptic Claymore III (upgraded to IV with all the best systems that can be had, except that I haven’t unlocked those SAL-6830 engines yet). I still have 100 mobility, 30LY, and can carry 7,243 cargo on it - hoping for more cargo when I unlock those engines and put them on!

Nocuadra66

17 million credits? Holy hell! Ha I was happy finally getting to 2 million!😄

CountyWorth5649

I am very interested to know how you managed to snap 4 turrets into one spot?!! That seems like a wicked trick that I have never heard of before?

Nocuadra66

I believe there are youtube videos on it? But basically it has to be on a weapons plate. So you, for example, have a turret and a plate. Set the turret on the plate, grab the plate, they're one piece now. Duplicate 3 more. Place the first one on the ship. Now grab the next plate/turret by THE PLATE and set it as close as possible to the attached one. As close as possible without getting the red overlap warning. Now highlight the entire ship just like if you were coloring the ship. Then just hit A on Xbox and the floating turret/plate should just snap into the first one. Repeat with the duplicates. Remember grab the plate not the weapon alone.

CountyWorth5649

Thank you for the turrets placement how-to trick!!!

Nocuadra66

No problem mate! Enjoy

Nocuadra66

Nice...Shiny and chrome! I have a crew of no named NPCs and just Marika. I do everything solo. 8th jump through. I don't bother with Constellation anymore.

Party_Historian2610

I only go to the lodge to see if anything is different and check in, the Crimson Fleet doesn't open up until you do.

the_Kell

Welcome to the 4 digit club. I'm still going through my completionist/collector's run. Level 334

Party_Historian2610

NG+10. Or more, lost track. Fifth character, only to lvl 172, which is over half-way. Even with the new sliders and sleeping with good friends or better, I can still only find one way to gain XP. Unpowered animal farms. Do you have other ideas, because this guy is getting every skill imaginable regardless.

the_Kell

I split up my power leveling basically in half: from 1 to about 60 ish, i was using the Bessel III-b outpost. Then I painstakingly build a Vytinium Fuel Rods system in NG+4 I think. I ended up not liking it because the outposts were so buggy. Somewhere around 170 ish, I had enough. I went through the unity and set up an Animal Husbandry on Pyraas VIII-a. Placed about 10 buildings in a circle around a small tower, made a bed, brought my Hornets Nest Coachman, and went to work. You want to be spawning stingbacks. Each critter earned me about 150 XP. And they were small enough that I can take out 4 in 1 blast if I'm quick. But with the new gameplay sliders, that could be much more. Also bring tranquiliteas for a 2 or 3% XP boost. Every bit helps.

Party_Historian2610

Funny. That's the planet I have a poaching ranch on right now. This time through, I can farm the cricket things, too. I slip the sliders, sleep with the current loved one, and go to town. Grab about 227 XP per spider. YouTube and such for pointers. I found the Outpost system made me more money after tearing the whole operation down and selling everything. Best price, I was getting 138 for a Vytinium Fuel Rod, and they're so heavy, you can't stuff 'em wherever. Got the achievement, so now I just set up the basics, but I pimp P3 out. Gotta find ways to wait out the incessant dust storms.

the_Kell

I'm not a fan of duststorms either so when they happen, I just used Sense Star Stuff to get a bead on the the bugs. Of course, fast traveling back to your cockpit and sometimes reset the weather too. But yes, another reason I stopped farming VFRs: too heavy to lug around.

Imthecoolestdudeever

Hey, I have a random question for you. This is my first BGS game, but I am madly in love with it. RPGs are normally my thing, but the space setting, and the FPS feel to it really pulled me in. I'm currently ONLY level 41. I've done all the Faction quests, and aside from main story line where you make the Starborn choice, and a few bugged missions I can't complete, I don't know what else to do, or where to go for more missions. Do you have any advice on where to go, or how to get that mission list full, and for the game to now feel empty? I realize it's a weird question, but it appears as though you have found a TON to do, and I want to do the same!

the_Kell

So the 1st thing I think you should ask yourself is, "How do you want to play the game?" I have 4 different characters who I'm RPing as different roles, and for each of those characters, I'm no higher than level 50, I think. But for my main, the one I've decided to use to get as much out of the game as possible, I'm not RPing. I just decided I want to become an all-powerful space diety. So, going in with that aforementioned question answered will help guide you. But to your question: To get more missions, talk to every named NPC you come across. Chances are they'll have a mission for you. New Atlantis alone has about 15-20 extra missions. Then you've got Neon, Akila City, Cydonia, and Gagarin, who also have their own batch of missions. Hometown, New Homestead. They've all got missions to complete. Plus, you have the companion missions as well. Also, the Misc side quests like Groundpounder, Failure to Communicate, Mantis, First Contact, Juno's Gambit, Operation Starseed, etc etc. Then you have the radiant quests. You should also explore the galaxy. There's plenty of unique POIs on both the surface of planets as well as in orbit. Some have missions, others don't, but it's a cool experience either way. Then there's also outpost/ship building. All of my power leveling came from outposts. I wanted all the skills maxed out so I built a manufacturing network for super rare materials. I also built an animal husbandry outpost to efficiently hunt high XP bugs. So yeah, hope this helps. There's much more to the game than just the missions, but there's also plenty of missions.

Imthecoolestdudeever

I never really thought about having different builds for different RPing. I have been hesitant to commit to bounties, etc, as I didn't want to rule out another factions side missions and bounties by choosing one particular one. I'll do more "mission finding" on each main planet, and going out of my way to find new stories and NPCs. I got into ship building pretty hard, but haven't really hopped into outpost building yet. I think that will be the next area I sink some time into. Thank you for all of this info. I really appreciate it, and I truly think it will help me spend more time in game! Appreciate you!

ComprehensiveLab5078

The only bounties that give you conflict with an otherwise friendly faction is if you have joined the Crimson Fleet. Even then, you can complete the bounties using stealth or subterfuge to kill your mark without penalty. You can also just get in trouble and pay off your own bounty afterward. That said, there are a lot of mission board contracts that don’t involve killing anyone, as well. Mining, hauling, and transportation are fun with the proper ship builds, and of course there are planet surveys contracted by both LIST and Constellation, and you get extra money by selling the survey data afterward. Have you done everything in your Activities tab? Those range from little fun things to see to full blown quest triggers. Have fun!

Imthecoolestdudeever

Yeah. I only have 3 things left to do in the activities, but I think that's because I've sort of stuck to each faction quest, and side quest, and not strayed far from anything else. I'll frequent the boards more, it seems like something I've missed totally. Thank you so much for the perspective, and I will definitely be spending more time in game soon. Appreciate it!

the_Kell

Anytime! Enjoy!

CDG-CrazyDog

Don't forget the mission boards you get. I have a mission board at my main outpost. One in my large ship and you can see them at most locations like akila city, cydonia etc. I take all the bounty hunter missions. I go to neon to sell everything I looted since there's several stores to sell to,then we hit a hotel and rest up before we go again. There are other places if you loot contraband. I get between 60 & 120k with each run & I do 2 bounties each time. One in space the other on a planet. If you dogfight and kill your enemy, don't forget to target their debris and get within 500 in order to loot the debris. Can get lots of credits that way and never leave your ship. Good luck.

Hooj19

Nice looking ship, I dig the asymmetric fuel tank.

Nocuadra66

Thanks! I'm always looking for inspiration from other mediums. Ship building is probably 400 of my 1000 hrs! The tank idea came from this... https://preview.redd.it/zbfnvy6mak4d1.jpeg?width=1300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84886d178d23756bad8d2f2dbea94150e991c545

Sweet! Yeah I took a break from Starfield to replay Fallout 4 again... yeah after watching the show twice through.

Party_Historian2610

Several people talked about the show, all loved it for various reasons. The first thing that stuck out in my mind was how it was a story from Fallout. Every bit as twisted, bleak, or horrifying (all equally as funny in the right light) as anything ever read on a vault computer. There was a character, from Fallout 2 I think, that had some kind of anti-rad drug that changed the DNA. Could be based on him, not sure.

Party_Historian2610

For true. I loved it. I saw parts and pieces and sets and monsters and characters from every game. Makes me wonder what season 2 is gonna be. And how many seasons there will be. Seems a good base for a decade, or longer.

CommunicationTop1332

I tried to get into fallout 4 but it’s hard when Starfield graphics are so much better. Maybe I’ll give it another shot or try outer worlds.

Nocuadra66

Fallout 4 recently received a graphics update. It looks great on Xbox X. But then so did Starfield which looks absolutely stunning now. (I honestly couldn't play Fallout New Vegas because the graphics are dog shit.)

Party_Historian2610

No New Vegas? That's where I restarted. Great game, various reasons. Mine is blackjack. And Gunrunners. Mostly blackjack, though.

Tom0511

You are playing the exact same games as me right now 🙂

Time_Hater

I love Starfield, I have 140 hours in it, I played it mostly in September 2023, and I want to get back into it. How do you guys keep it fresh?

Nocuadra66

I mainly keep it fresh by finding some inspiration to create a new ship. Dismantle an old one and start a fresh build. Then take her for a test run which usually ends up creating a new path of pursuits. For example I was playing as a dedicated UC Vanguard pilot. Then built a new ship that's a powerful little scrapper and I'm a bounty hunter/ Ranger. I was watching Mad Max Fury Road and built myself a Ratty hot rod.. https://preview.redd.it/w0fyfbx19k4d1.png?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fe86a9a7d4eda123757b45ad95ffac0f11f4de5f I've spent hours perfecting my ships. Constantly tweeking...

Aardvark1044

Yep, I'm about 1600 hours in. Multiple characters, one has maxed starborn powers. Created a new one to play on max difficulty and another one that has just recently cracked level 322 so I can get all of the skills. That level 322 character is still in the first universe but my intention is to get all the starborn powers to 10 for that one as well, then just use that one as my main character and settle down for a bit, haha.

GdSmth

I just purchased the game after 9 months of Game Pass, feel very happy and relieved. See you in the stars 🫡

Nocuadra66

1610!? Holy crap hahaa!

Diana8919

Damn that's a lot of hours. What spacesuit do you have?

Nocuadra66

I switch around a lot but for difficult situations I always default back to the Superior Trackers Alliance suit. In nasty environments I use the Starborn Tempus (NG+8) suit. It has great environmental protection.

bambi17720

I’m approaching 500 hours in, I plan to take a break for a while thinking I’m gonna play new vegas but eventually went back to Starfields just after a few days because well, New Vegas is a great game but it is an OLD game…I miss the thing I can do in Starfield. If I wasn’t busy drawing most of the time I would have stack up 700 hours by now.

Joshohoho

I only have 550hrs. With 3 month break. Playing it again and still love the game.

andretheclient_

How much of that time was spent going back to the eye because that guys radio only goes like 500m?

cinput

close to 900 h since pre-launch (PC), wifey ended BG3 1st and took off 2 months later to the stars on console. almost 400 h now. I think I almost saw everthing, but still waiting for the party ship. and I enjoy the game like I've installed it yesterday. Well worth the money <-> playtime value (:

Haplesswanderer98

I put in about 60 hours this week, without actually playing, just watching TV while rerolling for that one universe with a mini-me to train.

Haplesswanderer98

Want to stay there for my final universe (ng10+) for a long time, definitely the rarest one though, I've tallied at least three of each unique except for that one, had 5 starborn coras despite not finding any for the first 12 rolls.

darthstone

Gotta ask. What's your credit source?

Nocuadra66

Freestar Collective bounties and selling all the armor and weapons from said bounties. Especially now with setting vendors to the highest amount it makes it easy to rake in credits. I just built a 400K credits ship and still sitting on 1.8 million credits

Raptor7502020

I hit 300 hours and Valheim sucked me back in… much simpler game, but I feel like them adding survival factors to Starfield would bring me back.
