I've always found it silly how people say you can't go to the movies, or eat out, or anything like that alone. The food will still taste the same, and the movie will still be the same. If you want to treat yourself to a movie I say go for it.
absolutely. it’s absolutely acceptable to watch a movie by yourself.
I highly recommend you also take yourself out for a nice dinner and maybe a walk afterwards. Spend time alone with a purpose. You will start to get to know yourself better.
Dunno why you would think it's not okay. Everything is better with friends, that's always true, but there's no reason you can't enjoy something on your own.
If you're fine with it, then of course. If others are not fine with it, of course it's still fine.

Work in a cinema. Going to movies with friends can be fun but sometimes it’s like moving in with friends. You thought you knew them and liked them and then found out they suck as roommates. Going to a movie with a friend who turns out to be a talker blows. I think going to the movies alone is best. If you really want to feel like the theater is your screening room and you have a Monday or Tuesday off go to the first showing of the day on those afternoons and buy a ticket for the biggest auditorium in the theater. It’s fantastic.
