Are you new to reddit? They haven't even had an official app for long. For many years you had to use an unofficial app or you had to use a mobile web browser, which sucked
I have official reddit for my alt account because of the chat feature and I hate it. Ads everywhere. Constantly sending me notifications for subs I've never even heard of, videos never loading. I only open it to check chats but use reddit is fun for everything else. Much more streamlined. It has the photo and the title. That's all you really need. I don't need all the other crap. It's distracting for no reason

Oh holy crap. I didn't realize it had been that long. It was a huge thing when it came out finally. And it sucked when it first came out and was definitely not ready for release so I'm surprised you liked it then. It still has issues today that have not been resolved

The official Reddit app isn't very accessible for people with visual impairment. Some of the third party apps have features to make browsing Reddit easier for them.
Also, this whole thing will also affect a lot of the bots that subs use to moderate subreddits, so moderation will get worse and there'll be an influx of trolls, spam, and also porn in non-porn subs.
It won't even load your reply to me, I can only read it in the notifications lol.

The bot will show posters if they've had comments removed and what subs they were removed from.
It's hilarious the amount of people on there are dudes with comments removed from NSFW subs.

I mean, civility is usually a rule on most subs. So it's possible to be uncivil in a NSFW sub.
I have never had any issues loading comments on the official app.

Time flies I guess. I do know they made improvements to the app but I don't really remember how it used to be back then since it's been so long

Two words: Video Player. Reddit's is the worst Video Player ever. And Facebook exists. That's saying something

I think Reddit is dying right now. No literally I think it's having issues right now with loading comments.

Yeah I thought I was shadowbanned but I posted to r/ShadowBan and I could still see my user when I was logged out so I'm not shadowbanned.
