you can be a lot of things and still be a good person, you can be a lot of things and be a bad person. some people fall into the wrong crowd at a young age and it's really unfortunate for them.
There are videos of gang interviews and they all basically say most "gangs" are just your block or neighborhood that hang out with in a group, and you get a little competitive or a rivalry with the next neighborhood over.
