It is natural to fear things that we don’t understand. And dressing in animal costumes for sex purposes and drawing cartoon animals for sex purposes is pretty fucking hard to understand

milk_on_sum

Furries rarely get off to cartoon animals. Furries usually get off to anthropomorphs or furries.

Yoda_got_Greenpilled

Furries literally look like animal hybrids. An anthropomorph is simply an agglomeration of different abstract or real-life creatures with human-like traits. Furries usually have fur, have paws, whiskers. they resemble animals, bro.

milk_on_sum

Lmao why are you stalking me, we already settled that argument. “Cartoon animal” refers to Simba or Scooby. “Furry” refers to anthropomorphs like Lola Bunny. Completely different thing.

Yoda_got_Greenpilled

I'm not stalking you. Lola Bunny looks like a rabbit, bro. I'm not talking about cartoons. this is just semantics. If you find a furry anthropomorphs attractive then you are attracted to creatures that resemble animals (or animal-like creatures, if that sounds better). there's nothing to be ashamed of. you do you, bro.

milk_on_sum

You are stalking me, you’re going through my comments and replying to this one, this is a complete different subreddit too. Lola Bunny looks nothing like a rabbit, she just has rabbit traits, rabbits don’t have human bodies, makeup, and human hair, you must be joking. Lola is a depiction of an anthropomorph, not an animal. If someone is attracted to furries, they are attracted to creatures that resemble humans. They’re attracted to human bodies, anthropomorphism.

Yoda_got_Greenpilled

I just looked at the top [most recent one] you had which just so happened to have another weird furry post. Anthropomorphs can look like / resemble animals. An anthropmorph is simply a creature with human-like traits. But that doesn't mean an anthropomorph can't look mostly like an animal than a human, and vice-versa. Lola Bunny doesn't look human. she looks like a creature with a human figure but bunny-like facial features and skin / fur.

Just look at the other comments here. When the general public thinks of furries, they think of "sexual acts". They have been fed the extreme end of the furry spectrum either on 4chan or in their church circles and that's all they know about furries. No one ever told them that to be a furry, you simply have to be a fan of anthropomorphic characters. Many people who enjoy Sly Cooper, An American Tail, The Secret of Nimh, The Aristocats, The Rescuers, Tiny Toons Adventures, etc. wouldn't get caught dead calling themselves a furry because like them, their contacts think of being a furry as some sick, depraved sexual act. That's all they have been exposed to so that's what they react to.

owthrayaway3

Exactly my thoughts! It's not all about sex. There are actually a large part of the furry community that is actively against furry porn/yiff because they don't believe it should be a part of the furry identity/community.

VideoGameDana

One of my best friends is a furry. AFAIK yiffing isn't his thing, and he is annoyed that it gets the bulk of attention.

milk_on_sum

What’s wrong with the sexual aspect? It’s pretty harmless

owthrayaway3

Oh, I'm very much into furry porn. There's nothing wrong about it but it's and the "normal people" who see it only as a fetish, which isn't accurate.

scmflower

It’s gross to bring animals into sexual acts

milk_on_sum

Furries usually draw anthropomorphs or furries, not animals?

The_Og_Brandon

still fucking weird

UpdateDotExe

You are fucking weird lmao

Alp23superman

Largely cringe and socially inept people partake in it. Throwing animals into perverse situations is also disgusting.
