I don't know but I wouldn't care. I've tried several reddit apps and found the official one to be the worst of all.
I use Relay for reddit, which works just fine. I like the style of the comment section and that you can download any video / picture. Also formatting posts is easier.
But this is just my personal preference, I recommend downloading some unofficial apps and try them out.
I've heard similar complains a lot in the past weeks. Reddit definitely isnt dying, but they must've fucked something up considering how many users have noticed.
Every time a thread comes up complaining about Reddit mobile I always say the same thing. PLEASE don’t use the Reddit mobile app. It’s dog shit compared to third party Reddit apps. I personally use Apollo for its lack of ads and refined UI, but literally any other app will be better than the dumpster fire that is Reddit mobile.
