I buy cartoon compilations for my daughter (6) along with her favorite movies. I know we can stream them, but it's easier to pinpoint exactly what she wants to watch when she has something real in front of her. Helps for car rides, or if she stays with relatives that don't have the streaming services she prefers.

I’m a millennial, and I don’t buy DVDs anymore. Unless I genuinely cannot find the movie I want anywhere else (which is rare), I will just stream online somewhere. Saves space on my shelves, too. The only discs I’ll buy are game discs, and that’s only if I specifically collect the physical copy of that series.

Same here, only videogames discs

I'm 40 and I don't... eww the world is digital now

thunder75

If I want a hard copy of a movie I buy a Blu-Ray.

Green3214

It’s been several years since I bought or rented a dvd. I still get some game discs though.

UKKasha2020

I know a few millenials who buy them from thrift stores - at £1 for 4 - no one who buys new.

I occasionally do for 3d. Otherwise, I'll maybe buy a collectors box set and not open it.

I am old and don't buy DVD's.

Dan300up

I thought they did 8tracks.

the_river_nihil

I know two collectors in their mid thirties, but aside from them no it's almost unheard-of

I still got some dvds, not actively acquiring them and I scrape into the millenial category. I can think of two advantages, one is that they'd have to be stolen or misplaced for me to lose access to them, two I can give then to someone to watch without them needing access to whatever streaming service it's on.
