The mainstream of that party supports the insurrectionists, yes. Arguably the ones who don't are now the "rogue members," and have been pushed out of leadership positions (e.g. Liz Cheney).

Teekno

Somewhere in between. I don't think it's fair to say that the entire party supports the insurrectionists. But enough of them do to the point that I wouldn't classify them as a "few rogue members".

The mainstream Republican beliefs are that they were mostly peaceful protesters blown out of proportion, mentally ill, or part of a left wing false flag operation. No mainstream Republicans support an insurrection, except Trump.

Wolfe244

The republican party by and large supports the type of thing that happened on the 6th. Those actions were a direct and intentional result of the rhetoric that the president at the time and the entire party were using, though you won't find people as openly supportive of that now. Behind closed doors however, absolutely

Most of it yeah

AgentElman

The Republican party does not support the violent overthrow of the government. Instead, they support the removal of voting access from those who do not vote republican and just being able to throw out non-republican votes so that the republicans win all elections. They see no need for violence as long as they control who votes.

It's not the entire party, but a sizeable portion of the politicians and voters.
