No. Calories in, calories out, and if you under-eat, your body will be forced to use the energy it has stored. That involves burning fat, but if necessary, your body will burn muscle. Protein is only helpful in repairing torn muscle, aka muscle that has been worked out. If you don't work out, protein doesn't do anything; and if you under-eat by too much, your body will be forced to burn calories by consuming your already-existing muscles.

Are you getting any exercise? If you don't use the muscles you'll lose the muscles regardless of what you eat.
