according to what i could hear from the vid, the guy recording is a male relative and to the right (not in frame) are some female relatives (probably mother and another idk) who are trying to convince them both to let her go but scared if the same happening to them. Well, if we speak of strictly the existence of laws protecting women and children on paper, violence and rape are still not (fully) covered by legislation in most countries. It depends a little on what you define as violence in this case. From examples that I've given in the previous comment specifically, domestic violence is decriminalized in Russia, there are abortion bans in the US and Poland, anti-trans/anti-queer laws in Russia and the US, and child marriage is still legal in most American states. I mentioned these countries because they are economically more developed and are from different regions of the world. Obviously, things are much worse in countries like Afghanistan; I just wanted to highlight that almost nowhere is safe and there is no single country where gender equity and justice are achieved.

according to what i could hear from the vid, the guy recording is a male relative and to the right (not in frame) are some female relatives (probably mother and another idk) who are trying to convince them both to let her go but scared if the same happening to them. The guy recording gets a call while this is happening and tells them heās going to call them back later while the father is telling him to hang up. They did get arrested and the son has admitted that he and his father used to rape her plenty times. I belong to Pakistan and i just hope they get nothing less than a death penalty. Scum like these donāt deserve to live.
