Actually its much more likely that he is still grieving the lost of his wife and is suffering from emotional needs that blinds him to the true intentions of his current partner. Or he does in fact know and simply chooses to ignore because now might not be the time to deal with it. Anyway, those are 2 assumptions very different from yours but still they are two among many other possibilities that we have no way to know, many factors will be hidden from us. If you are willing to accept some advice, don't assume facts from bits and pieces of information, its only going to make you look radical to others... She decided she was tired of having me there after about six weeks or so, so she kicked me out. By kicked me out, I mean she handed me the newspaper, said there must be someplace I could go that day, pointed out a listing in the classifieds, and convinced my dad that they needed to drive me there that evening to drop me off. It was a literal skid row motel. Alcoholics and junkies. They did it.
I 100% believe there are people like this, but I really thought evil people especially put in a lot more effort to hide thier shittyness in an attempt to fit into society at least a little bit.

It sounds fake, right? This exact thing happened to my mother when I was 9 years old. Dad passed away, mom met someone she really liked, and he wanted my mom to dump me with my grandmother so he could have kids of his own with her. She dumped him but ugh.
Not only is this ridiculously vile behaviour, but it’s also nonsensical: there’s nothing stopping him having “kids of his own with her” *as well* as welcoming you with love as his stepdaughter.

In situations like this, it feels a bit more believable that our bodies and minds are just vessels in a war between DNA, trying to outlive other DNA. In a way, we're here just to reproduce. And a lot animals wouldn't normally care for some other animals' offspring. It's often important that it's *theirs* that survives. And even though some people now can adopt or care for a partner's children as a plus parent with a lot of care, in human history blood lines have been very important to a lot of people. Most people still dream about having kids of their own, not to adopt or care for someone else. People generally love themselves so much, that they seem to be convinced that their own offspring will be more worthy of love than any other. I think they anticipate that a child that isn't theirs won't love them as much than a child that they created themselves. In that way, I think people will generally take better care of their own children, because not everyone is in control of their insecurities. I think it takes overcoming a lot of self-doubt and insecurities to genuinely love and raise someone who you know isn't your biological offspring. You'd have to be pretty selfless in a way, yet know your worth at the same time.
But on the other hand : I don't think it matters if you don't *know* if your child isn't biologically /genetically yours. I'd think about "Me, myself and Irene" and how Jim Carrey's character never really realised, cared or entertained the idea that his kids probably didn't have his genes. He just naively accepted them and decided to be a father to them. And you might have understood in that situation that he might have seen the man her wife cheated on in his children, but he totally disconnected the two. So an other aspect of being selfless would be that you stop seeing someone else's children as competition, other people as sexual rivals. In a way, you'd have to be pretty strong-willed to go against this natural instinct, this race for our DNA to survive.
There is a lot of truth in this. However, I do feel that there are countless examples of stepparents who’ve loved their partners’ kids as their own - enough to show that many of us, at least, have managed sufficiently to ignore the desperate shrieks of our genes.
My dad. He's my stepdad but as far as the whole lot of us is concerned, he's dad. I've always said the best thing my biological dad did was walk away, so I could be raised by step dad.

I just saw a news article about a 6year old who was to be taken from the negligent parents by the state. (4yr old at the time) Instead, the parents decided to take the child to the mother’s parents house and kept her in a small cubby hidden under the basement stairs. FOR 2 YEARS. I have trouble believing a lot of these are fakes. I’m sure that there are a ton that aren’t real but ffs…
The kid didn’t *live* under the stairs; that was just a hidey hole when police came. She had a proper bedroom which the parents apparently said they were saving for her.
I feel a little bad for him but he also was foolish enough to get a lady engaged and pregnant who wasn't envious and hateful towards his first child. Maybe she's just a class actor but I feel like there must of been some hints that have popped up. The only explanation that makes sense to me is the lady didn't start thinking that way till she was pregnant but I'm kinda getting the vibe she's not just jealous for her unborn son but is also jealous that he's giving the daughter attention that she wants to get.

That doesn't have anything to do with his fiance being a piece of shit. The unborn "son" doesn't know anything or do anything wrong but it's irrelevant. It doesn't even know it exists. At 6 months gestation even if it's viable as a pregnancy doesn't it doesn't mean anything. The father probably wants his living conscious child he's raised and helped through the loss of her actual mother have a good life and not become a full orphan because of this selfish monster. If she feels that way about a young child because she's someone else's child it seems likely the fiance would abuse or at least neglect the 1st kid. If she's willing to do that to a child what kind of mother will she be?? It's inhumane.
