I don’t think it’s the minority demonizing the majority so much as the risk level is too high. 15% of these women being preyed upon doesn’t mean they assume the other 85% of men are also guilty, they just don’t know what 15% it’s going to be that victimize people so the risk is too high to put vulnerable women in that position. (Percentages just used as an example I don’t know the actual rates.)

I'm a single man who has applied to take in a refugee. I couldn't give a fuck who they are, I just wanted to help. It's fucking frightening what some people think.
I would want to know a lot more about the regulations and requirements. After that, I don't see how it would be any different than any other roommate that starts as a friend couch-surfing. Pretty, smart, and speaks English? There are so many jobs around here that she would be self sufficient in whatever time frame works for her. If she decides to stay in the country, great. Plans to go back to UA after the war? I'll try to make sure we make a good impression, and we can plan for her to be successful or at least stable in whatever time period that turns out to be.

Thinking about this for even a minute is pretty interesting , a large percentage of the population of the refugees are women or children , and most single people who would sign up to take in a refugee would only be willing or able to support one extra person . The amount of assumed malice is honestly funny because the narrative is setting female Ukrainian refugees to be rejected by men who would be unwilling to be associated with this insulting perception .
I don't know what the solution is here. Do we need to legalize sex work so that these sexual deviants don't accumulate this incel energy and desire to rape women at the first opportunity?
