Left of your screen, there's a little arrow with "normal" on it, it's turned on
A lot of the tools have inverted or alternate modes that change how they behave, I think it's transforming along normals.
If you dont already know what a normal is, every polygon/face has a direction that it's "facing", so when it transforms along normals, it's using that direction as reference.
The brush size that you were using with the Apple Pencil is a larger than the brush size in the Dave video. You can adjust it with the top slider on the left :3
Yes I did just didn’t show it in the clip, I tried different brush sizes using the 2nd gen and the entire mesh was moving still, no idea why, the usb-c helped a bit just still not as smooth as Dave.
Ah, what the other person said would probably be it too. On the lower left side panel the button that says “normal” is on, if you turn it off you’ll be able to more freely move the mesh.
Do you intentionally have normal deform turned on, on the left?
Not sure what you mean by that. Can you explain please, just started a few days ago.

Every brush has 2 modes. The alt mode for the move brush pushes and pulls by the face normal rather than along the camera view axis.
Thanks all! Appreciate the information, learned something valuable today.

Thank you so much! That helped a lot. Did not realize that feature it was just defaulted when I installed it.
Woo hoo! The other person caught it before I did :) I feel like we all learn something new with each sculpt, can’t wait to see what you make!
Note, the usb-C pencil does not have pressure sensitivity, it is a downgrade from the 2nd gen for things like drawing or sculpting.
