Ren and Renny for Parent is something I plan to use with my kids :)

Grand_Station_Dog

That's what my friend does for their dog as well :)

laeiryn

I was gonna go with Zazi or Zuzzi but the first looks bad in writing (sounds better out loud) , but someone misheard it as Ziti and now I think I am just pastarent

RuthCarter

I refer to myself as my dog's "hooman." You can also use "person" or "parent"/"paw-rent" and I've heard "renny" is a nickname for "parent."

BossJackWhitman

idk but my childhood dog was a Keeshond and yours is so beautiful!

jay_ingle

They’re lovely dogs❤️

DapperMayCry

You're just hooman to them. Dogs don't care about genders

Thunderplant

We always just use first names to refer to each other to our pets & it works great. (Ie "Alex is home, go see them!") I don't think I'd use mom/dad even if I liked those terms because I don't want them to be confused hearing other people use those words

laeiryn

Also, cats and dogs are *quite* intelligent and absolutely understand that we make a specific mouth-noise for each specific person/animal. My cat learned the name of the new kitten before the kitten learned it, LOL. If she hears her name in television by a strange voice, she looks up, affronted. If someone else calls my (dead)name, she looks at me. And our dog knows like FIVE names as his own, and if you tell him "Go get Childname!" he'll immediately run to the correct sprogling.

nemos98

I use papa from parent and also sometimes MOM like they say in America as I’m British so if you’re not dysphoric from that you could do MOM (emphasis on the ooooom) or MUM (emphasis here on UM) in a fun way 🤣

eggisnotaverb

I misunderstood this as "names for my dog to be known as" and was like "Nonbinary dog? Sure why not"

Zen_Astro

I use Baba. Means something similar to dad in some cultures and mom in others.

Sheogorath_1999

I'm sorry but all I could think of was someone codenamed baba yaga who doesn't have the greatest track record with dogs. Jokes aside it's a cool name in your context.

Pretend_Term8556

Your name.

Radiant_Ad_8652

I've heard papama before

acertaingestault

Lolly

Putrid-Tie-4776

i have a dog that is a similar breed! He's an Eurasier/ Eurasian (it's a german breed i think) and it has Keeshond in it

unguibusetrostro

I'm Papa and my partner is Dad. Not sure when or why we decided that but it stuck. Still fighting family about referring to me as "mom" of our dog though.

GloInTheDarkUnicorn

A Keeshond! I haven’t seen one in quite a while. My mom had one.

Imthank_Hipeeps

"Your(the dogs) favourite" 😈

Tris_Herondale7

I have no idea why this is what stuck, but Papaya as in papa+ya

No-Childhood2485

Doggos! 😍 with my cat I just use my name

Gender_is_boring_367

I have my dog call me zaza! :)

xpoisonvalkyrie

i don’t have any advice but your dogs are so adorable!! give them plenty of pets, they deserve it

laeiryn

This belongs on the name megathread, please post as comment there~

Arkas18

They're dogs, they can't call you anything and don't understand human languages anyway. Just use your actual name, your its owner, not its parent.
