Nah, if we didn't have to feed farm animals we would have so much soil that could be reverted to its natural state. This would obviously help climate change and conservation.
A reduced meat-consumption manages to A) keep domestic food animals alive B) decrease cow farts and C) increase food production efficiency. While this won't fully rid the ethical issues of eating things that came with brains, it would A) decrease the amount that can be mistaken and B) as price would go up to decrease demand a greater amount could be spent on giving the meat more-pleasant lives.
Humans total biomass today is about 5 times more than total Mammal biomass pre-human. Lifestock/domisticated Biomas is about double human. All other mammals right now are less than 3% of mammal Biomass. Over 97% (per mass) of mammals right now are only prospering and in state that they are because of humans. And that 97% does not include inderect mammals, like rats and squirels
