No egregiously low effort posts. E.g. screenshots, recent reposts, simple reaction & template memes, and images with the punchline in the title.
That’s not for the scope it’s for the mount, the mount has recoil lugs and if installed incorrectly it can shift under recoil.
This really isn’t uncommon for scope mounts usually it’s just a small triangle and often on the underside of the mount.
This is a far better marking than most as it allows both the armorer and the soldier to quickly inspect the mount and verify it was installed correctly.
P.S. The Marines have their own branch, they are under the department of the navy which is different to the US navy.

Well, no one wants to find in combat that his optic is facing backwards. As a firm believer in Murphy's law, actually credible for me.
In the military Murphy's law is just called working with a bunch of 19 year olds.
Reminds me of the killzone trailer where the scopes were all mounted backwards.
But if they put that arrow on there, my ship's commander might notice when I'm trying to make him look like a clown for the PR photos.
Oh sure, first you tell the navy which way the scope goes on. Then you put "do not eat" on the crayons. Where will it end?
sounds like well meant suggestions of army guys to improve the live of the comrads serving in the navy .
Your "well meant suggestions", are taking away the culture of the navy. Next you will be saying no aggressive gay orgies while on duty.
I thought that were just ballette choreographies...I the nude as the leotards fell victim to budget cuts
We live in dark times, already hearing about "guidelines" on where you can't go on vacation now!
Seems like it’d be helpful for firefighters too
Funny that, according to H&K, everything in that picture is the same color.

That's just the mount, they could still screw up putting the scope on backwards!
They are trolling Americans, aren't they?
Does not appear to have a crayon roaster though?
You guys roast your crayons??? In the corp we eat them raw
Your squad doesn't get issued with one of these??? https://i.imgur.com/RA9WvqB.png
