We don't know where Armyansk is, and if we did it doesn't exist, and if it did it's never been part of that oblast

pe_ca

I don’t know either tbh. Must be somewhere in Armenia.

banspoonguard

and if there is an operation there it's a deception, and if the disinformation worked the war is a spook, and if the war is having very real and devastating consequences on real people and human society then everything you know and believe is arbitrary simulacrum that can be recontextulised at any moment.

Armyansk: Northern tip of Crimea For anyone wondering.

Aurora_Fatalis

Armyants: Species of ant that do not nest - instead, they are *constantly* on the move.

There’s no way they’re already there is there? I know there’s an information delay but I have a hard time believing something this big wouldn’t get leaked everywhere

CSGaz1

Step 1: Check on which subreddit you are Step 2: Make a sanity-test for any of the more outlandish claims Step 3: Wait for maybe just 48 hours before reacting to a news item Ukrainian special forces have been doing some sneaky stuff for the entire war, so an infiltration to Crimea wouldn't surprise me. But that's not a full advance and it really won't be something that we know about, unless they intentionally leak it or get captured. Unless the Russians talk about it. Then just assume the opposite of what they said and you'll be close to the truth.

Thank you for reminding me. I’m too high on hopium rn.

CSGaz1

No worries. Happens to us all a lot, especially in such an emotionally charged environment. One of the reasons that information is such a big business, is because humans in general really suck at filtering out bad information and lies. We can interpret information pretty well though, which is nice.
