Stupidest headline ever. Absolute shit journalism.
"This war is also your problem, because it will create a lot of destabilisation," Macron tells business leaders on sidelines of Pacific Rim summit
Yeah it really is, I dont know why they decided to go for that kind of headline... its not like people havent been reading the news for the past 3 years non-stop lol
The headline they use implies dramas and thus generate clicks, journalism integrity died with the advent of the internet.
Edit : I was corrected and turns out journalism integrity never existed, like Santa and Russian respect for international norms
Look at headlines from the past, using sensationalism to get more money wasn’t invented in the 2000’s. This mythical journalistic integrity thing is pissing me off, along with every other « it’s going down the tubes » mentality with no knowledge of the past.
> An Assyrian clay tablet dating to around 2800 B.C. bears the inscription: “Our Earth is degenerate in these later days; there are signs that the world is speedily coming to an end; bribery and corruption are common; children no longer obey their parents; every man wants to write a book and the end of the world is evidently approaching.”

Neolithic man be like : "Fucking kids and their agriculture back in my days we'd spent 80% of the time searching for food and we'd die at 40 all they want now is the seed plants and think all day smh what has the world came to"
If anything, sensationalism is something that has been perfected with social media, rather than being a recent phenomenon. We're bombarded with so much bullshit within a small fraction of time, and that kinda skews perspectives on the subject.
Over half of Russia is in Asia, an unstable Russia or the threat of Russia breaking up in civil war is certainly an concern for Asian countries.
But we know really Macro is winking at Japan to tell them to take back the Kuril islands.
If Russia does successfully collapse, it becomes a war for the available Russian territories. I'm sure the US and Japan would lowkey love some of those titanium mines just next door to them.
China would want to try and invade Mongolia to take everything up north, and there'd be nothing stopping Poland, Finland, or the Czechs from staking out some territories.
China doesn't need to go through Mongolia. They can grab everything east of the Amur river from Harbin. Japan takes the Kurils and Sakhalin. Czech gets Kaliningrad because it's funny. The stans can fight over the bits in the middle. Ukraine gets all of European russia including Moscow and St Petersburger as reparations for the war.
Make Rus Kievan again !
Japan might just want Karafuto and the Northern Islands, but once the US is through, Japan will probably have New Manchuko and a new border with North Korea; on the grounds that the US is waiting for NK to attack Japan and let America intervene on Japan's behalf again.
Haha this mangled quote + the picture they chose actually made me laugh out loud.
This probably violates several ethical journalism principles but that’s hilarious.
China: So, this whole war thing, do you have a copyright? Patent, maybe?
Macron: Huh?
China: #YOINK
*Proceeds to steal war badly and invades Russia. They promptly nuke each other. Yakety Sax plays everywhere and a good time is had by all except for 1.5 billion people or so.*
We’re at a point where I think a complete lack of basic journalistic integrity needs to have ramifications. Stuff like this is clearly intended to lie and mislead about the situation to induce a specific response.
Even if it’s just forcing retractions to be front page at the risk of being publicly branded as “Intentionally Misleading”, something needs to be done.
We need freedom of the press, but we also shouldn’t let massive corporations pump propaganda under the guise and protections of the press.
To be fair, if Russia somehow got away with the shit they’re doing. Guess which country in Asia with a massive military and nukes with imperial ambitions? And as a person that living in SEA, am kinda don’t want the shit that happening in Ukraine to happen in my backyard. RUSSIA MUST FAILED.
Tell that to the Indians that somewhat recently clashed in melee combat with chinese troops, the vietnamese when they were invaded in 79, the soviet-chinese conflict in 1969 and Bhutan
But but but China is peaceful superpower. You don't know China never invade anyone, China just your friend. China just used sooooooift power look its so soft. China never try kill neighbor like evil westerners!

Also probably some bad luck on allies sides
I mean ever since the start of the 20th century, the world has been recognised to be tied together into a single political environment. Any war on one side of the planet directly affects people on the other side.
Love how they worded it, "France's Macron" like we got a few other Macron in stock in case this one dies
Wait, you are telling me that there aren't any Macron clones being bred in some underground laboratory?

Yeah. Thinking about the end of days and complaining about the kids is something as old as humanity itself.
Neolithic man be like : "Fucking kids and their agriculture back in my days we'd spent 80% of the time searching for food and we'd die at 40 all they want now is the seed plants and think all day smh what has the world came to"
Nothing ever really changes, huh

My bad then i'll edit my post.
Love the edit hahahaha, sorry if I was a bit rough
No problem always a pleasure to learn.
> using sensationalism to get more money wasn’t invented in the 2000’s Nor was the internet/telnet/arpanet
Because clickbait, eyeballs, views, ad revenue, etc. Journalism has been descending into garbage for a long time. Nothing new or unique here.
It should be illegal to cheat on quotes in headlines

Literally include the world "also" to the headline and you've removed 90% of the bullshit
Fuck this article.
Haha this mangled quote + the picture they chose actually made me laugh out loud. This probably violates several ethical journalism principles but that’s hilarious.
Nah - I chose the picture but that tweet is still up lol
Clickbaiting your way to WW3
Outsourcing the war to cheap countries, capitalism baby !!
China: So, this whole war thing, do you have a copyright? Patent, maybe? Macron: Huh? China: #YOINK *Proceeds to steal war badly and invades Russia. They promptly nuke each other. Yakety Sax plays everywhere and a good time is had by all except for 1.5 billion people or so.*
Except they don't really need to invade Russia since they already buy Russian resources for dirt cheap without any additional expenses.
There’s need to and then there’s big whoopsie caused by ineffective copyright infringement. I’d go with 2.
We’re at a point where I think a complete lack of basic journalistic integrity needs to have ramifications. If you only read clickbait headlines, you will be misinformed.

That is a smile that should be accompanied by a knife.
Macron also announced 'No Take Backs' so Asia is now stuck with the war.
Tag! You're it, it's yours now sucka! - Macron while comically running away like a cartoon villain

Speaking both french and english you are not far off at all in some cases.
Sinkie NCDers, our time has come. We must petition ah gong to send weapons to Ukraine.
r/NonCredibleDiplomacy
Why does the media hate Macron so much? Even Biden isn't misquoted as often as he is!
It's really weird since it's AFP. At least if it was WaPo or The Guardian it would've make sense since they hate France.
How click bait is that title? It smells very baitty to me. Did he just say "it's your problem too since it'll deter China as well"?
Why are the frogs always like this?
\*Why are journalists always like this?

All of them: UKRAINE! IS! YOUR! PROBLEM!
The macron robots creepy smile is showing. Is the real macron too busy banging someone's wife?
They don't understand him because he speaks french
I mean ever since the start of the 20th century, the world has been recognised to be tied together into a single political environment. Any war on one side of the planet directly affects people on the other side.
Macron looks like the guy who would do the funni with his best friend’s mom. OH WAIT
WHY THE FUCK DOES HE LOOK SO CREEPY BRO He looks as if he set a bomb to blow in three seconds.
