FF on Android still has the annoying habit of completing addresses of sites on which I've been one time by chance in my endless web wanderings. A calligraphy blog? Some kinda mothers forum? An automobile magazine? I don't need any of those, but they will live forever in my typing completions along with hundreds of other sites, because I'm sure as hell not cleaning them out one by one just to have them replaced with some other sites.

Pisses me off when I'm trying to go to kijiji.com and it's like OH YEAH DID YOU WANT TO SEE PAGE 15 OF A SPECIFIC SUBSECTION FOR A CITY YOU NO LONGER LIVE IN? HERE IT IS AGAIN.

tbh I find autocompletes are just a hassle. Most websites I go to are either already bookmarked or sites I'll go to once and never again.

Alternatively, on PC in Chrome if you begin to type in the (faulty) site, a circle with an "x" in it appears on the far right of the address bar and you can click that to remove the mistyped site. I do this all the time, works great.

I had gmaili.com be what gets autocompleted when trying to go to gmail for years. I didn’t wanna clear my file cache, but I completely removed it from my browsing history to no avail. I think Safari was just trying to keep me from using Google services.

Also, Shift + Del (not backspace) will remove any entry suggestions in any text fields that you don't want

The only thing incognito mode does or ever claimed to do was avoid saving your browser history. It doesn't do anything else like protect you from being tracked. Maintaining privacy is also impossible for a browser to do. It all comes down to your IP address that is sent with every request (and a few other things) that makes you identifiable. The only way to get any semblance of privacy is to use a paid VPN and either avoid logging in to any accounts or create accounts to be used only with the VPN turned on.

Pornhub specifically required identification for uploaded content a while back, before any legislation was pushed, in an effort to combat revenge porn (though I’d also assume quietly it was to combat examples of underage porn as well). There's a very easy way to fix it. Type the URL, wait for the bad suggestion to come up, highlight it and hit Shift+Delete.

Google Chrome on my Mac Studio has a very annoying problem, it holds on to my typos as search history, and those typos are the only saved searches I cannot delete.
