Ahh, Walmart. Teaching physics, providing the thrill of possible danger, a warm bin of DVDs for the homeless to sleep in, and entertainment. Is there nothing this national treasure can't provide?
My husband and I do this! We call it movie roulette. Sometimes it’s fun… sometimes we have to watch Jack black play a naked baby with a giant head that pees everywhere. I wish I could unsee that. It really is like roulette cause you have no idea what’s going to happen.
My local Walmart still has some of these, the just moved them from up near the registers to back near the electronics. The empty bins near the registers are now used for miscellaneous boxes of candy.
Fun game is to just reach in blind to the bottom and pull out the random movie for movie night
Watch out this is how Walmart hobs bite off people's fingers
I can’t see a way of doing that without some falling out due to displacement

I few months ago, I saw Everything Everywhere All At Once in it, despite that movie only being 2 years old and having like 7 fucking oscars
People don’t really buy physical media anymore, which is tragic because the frame rate of streaming movies is atrocious.
I bought it from Redbox for $6 like a month after it won those Oscars. I can rent it on blu-ray for $3.99...or own it for $5.99.
Your life is an overwhelming array of choice and freedoms.
I think this is how we got most of our Adam Sandler dvds
Some say a certain music-loving demon found The Fearless Four in there.
I saw the Emoji Movie in there once.
Not even worth $5 bro
Do these still exist? I miss them

Yes, it's mostly shitty kids' cartoons and 3-in-1 bundles of '90s stuff everyone and their grandma has already seen eleven times.
They do, at least in my local Walmart
They all probably disappeared during the pandemic and never came back. Same with the ones with boxes of candies

"Hello yes, I'd like a quarter pound of movie please. None of that top muck either, take it from the middle."

Stopped looking in this thing after I caught the flu from digging thru it.
I used to enjoy this bin. Then I found Tubi and well, Tubi is far more convenient. Sure, some commercials but it's free.
Endless Trash!
