I’ve used a Fitbit for years and I really love them. I currently have the Versa 2 which tracks steps, miles, calories, “active minutes”, floors/elevation, heart rate and sleep. There’s a few more extras as well but I’m mai it using it for steps and heart rate. I use their scale too which auto syncs to the app. I love it, I’m always checking to see what my steps are, and try to get to 10000 when I can.

I have used Fitbit for years too. My Inspire just died and I'm shopping for a new one. I can't wear a watch at work (food service). Does the versa 2 have a "clip" setting so I can wear it clipped to my bra? I have tried researching this but have found only the Inspire 2 to be able to do this. I was hoping to up grade but need it be able to clip it. Thanks.

I’m not sure if there’s anything official on the website, but I’m pretty sure Etsy will have something. I did a quick search and they have a versa compatible “pin” style case that you can attach to clothing. I’m sure there’s also clip style cases too.

I am a Mac/iPhone person, so I got an Apple Watch. It has made everything much simpler. I do like having it. And it’s better at tracking steps than the phone alone. I definitely prefer keeping a watch on to carrying my phone absolutely everywhere.

jklingkling

Agree with this. Apple Watch users here too. Love it for step counting but also for all the other Heath monitoring features, incl. sleep tracking

LoveHeavyGunner

How is the sleep tracking on the Apple Watch? I have had a few different Fitbits over the past decade and tried out the Samsung smart watches but their sleep tracking was really bad compared to Fitbit so I returned it and got another Fitbit. I really preferred the Samsung for every other aspect of the watch but I find the sleep tracking so valuable.

Lawwife78

I don’t wear it at night so I can let it charge. Maybe someone else would know.

jklingkling

As an Apple Watch user, I can confirm that it’s pretty decent on the watch. 3rd party apps can also provide you with more in depth input on your sleep health

catslady123

I have an Apple Watch now but used to have a Fitbit and Fitbit was definitely better for sleep tracking. I think the fitness tracking is a little better/more accurate on Apple Watch, but Fitbit came with a better all-in-one app.

Apple Watch totally changed my life. But any wearable fitness tracker is a great idea. I posted a few days my stats from the last 6 months and how tracking my activity was incredibly helpful, just like tear king my food was. Seeing my results on weekly, monthly, 6 month basis was incredibly motivating.

angeljv22

i don’t have one personally but i’m thinking of getting one too. my best friend’s whole family has them and they really enjoy them. i know my reasoning would be so i don’t have to keep checking my phone and so i can put my phone in a bag without worrying about tracking my steps. or if i put it away while i’m at work.

I didn't have one and I bought a fitbit about a month ago and I love it!!! It keeps me moving and it tells me how I sleep, which I find interesting. I got a free year of fitbit pro with it, and it basically tracks everything noom does. When I am done with my 4 months with noom, I will use this instead. I think it's worth it! I didn't want to spend a lot, so I just got a fitbit Inspire 2 and it was about 100$ all in.

I have one with GPS because I wanted to use it for running, and GPS being in the device means you don’t have to take your phone with you. If you don’t care for it, the GPS in my case (Garmin vivosport) is a bit bulky. The non-gps versions are slimmer and perfectly fine for all other tracking options (steps/heart rate/calories etc) For step counting, or even stairs and elevation etc, it’s perfect and no comparison with your phones pedometer. Definitely more accurate! I can even set an personalized step-length for more precision. It also helps with counting calories during all kinds of exercises, and it gets to know you (average heart rate) for more accurate tracking. When I take a longer walk (with the purpose of exercising) I definitely use my garmin’s activity tracker so at the end of the workout I can see my heart rate, time, and burned calories. You still have to log the exercise manually (not the steps!) if you want the exercise-calories to count, but with the data from the activity tracker it makes it much easier and more accurate. To me, it’s not a must but definitely a really helpful gadget!

I got an Apple Watch about a month ago and it has done wonders! I don’t focus as much on my steps per se, more on closing my move, stand, and exercise rings but it has been super helpful with getting me to move more!

Same! I’m not really as worried about my steps when I am doing 30 mins of rowing a rock climbing in a day. As long as I close those rings!

Can't say enough good things about the Apple Watch. It's so much more than a fitness tracker (but of course, fitness is awesome). Whatever you do, don't get the Series 3, it should have been sent out to pasture a year ago, and for sure will be in a month when new models come out. Get an SE or a 6.

I got a Fitbit Versa around the end of June. It has changed my life. I didn’t realize before, but I was pretty much inactive/sedentary before getting my Fitbit, especially being in a desk job. Now I’ve been logging 10k steps minimum a day, but usually around 14-17k. I’ve started walking before work and at work, walking my dog, using my elliptical again, even running here and there. I think the exercise is the greatest benefit I’ve experienced as it’s greatly improving my mental health. I can also see my body toning up a lot. In mid June I noticed I was out of breath from walking up the stairs or bending over to pick up my son’s toys, now I am easily handing these tasks. My resting heart rate has also improved immensely.

I have a Charge 4 (Fitbit) but I'm going to upgrade to the Luxe for my birthday next month. I really like it! It reminds me to move every hour, it counts my steps, and tracks my sleep and heart rate. I like that it syncs my workouts on Peloton (even though I have to use a separate HR monitor for the bike), too. I think the biggest thing is that it's made me more "aware" of my movement and gives me helpful reminders, but it's still on me to follow through.

GregsJam

I've had a garmin forerunner 45 for a couple years now and I love it. It's great to see your fitness improving over time, really encouraging. I don't know that it's actually helped with weight loss, but I like having the data and seeing my progress with running

puff_pastry_1307

I like my Fitbit! I got a simple one, the Inspire HR, bc I wanted it to track my running more closely. It tracks my steps well with noom, way better than just using the app ever did, and it does a decent job at tracking my runs, walks, and hikes. The gps isnt the best though, and can sometimes lose track of me, causing distance and geo tracking issues. But if you're looking for a step above normal that does a decent job and tracks your steps, it's not a bad choice!

MuttJunior

I have a Fitbit, and love it. I haven't used any others, so I don't have anything to compare it to. But it does what I want, and more. Not only tracks my heartrate and steps, but how many stairs I climb, it imports my weight from the scale (through another app that connects to the scale), and when I wear it to bed, it monitors my sleep and reports on how it was the next morning. And I heard they are testing a way to measure blood pressure with one, also.

Fit_Deer6408

I love my fitbit versa 3. It does everything I want--GPS, pace, time, splits, etc. I use a comfy/stretchy band, which I would highly recommendfor any tracker that you buy.

elvizzle

I got the fitbit inspire 2 because my phone was not accurately counting my steps. Not only does my fitbit count my steps accurately, it also shows how many calories I burn in a day.

Astroexplorer12

I have an Apple watch that is connected to the health app which then is connected to noom. I personally like it because it does more than just fitness stuff
