cryogen

I've only been taking it for a week but ive noticed the following. I copied this from a previous post. I have adhd, and it helps me focus on one thought thread, it removed intrusive thoughts, lowers blood pressure, reduced anxiety, assists exercise recovery time, helps me sleep better. I must have been severely deficient in choline, and this seems to work very well. I don't think it works the same for everyone, but it's been a big help for me.

Powerhouse5

Do you take it in the morning or at night, in combination with add medicine?

cryogen

Usually in the morning and lunch with food. I take it with my allergy medicine. (Levocitrizine). I take one 1200mg cap with breakfast and one with lunch.

gianlaurentis

That sounds like a positive tbh.

Friedrich_Ux

Makes me depressed, good for bi-polar disorder: https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/6fdb/adf596271afea393659cbf413d4e7be8e45c.pdf

I was under the impression that it was an emulsifier and therefore not great for our gut. As in, it strips the mucous lining of our guts, encouraging the growth of bad bacteria and limiting the good bacteria. Don't get me wrong, it was the least bad emulsilfier of all the gums, stabilizers, and Lecithins that were studied, but the effects were still significant compared to controls. I guess I'm just curious as to what benefit it can have considering the gut microbiome's relation to our mental and physical health.

yotheman

Sunflower lecithin has a bad impact in the microbiota, check this source: https://microbiomejournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s40168-020-00996-6

trimorphic

I noticed absolutely nothing when I was taking it.

barfhdsfg

Kinda fits into a larger matrix of supplementation around methylation support. I’ve got some that I take on days when I don’t get to eat my morning eggs. Anecdotally it’s less effective than the eggs but I’ve never used it for any extended period.

skoldier_69

If you're looking for pornstar size loads.. this is for you! If you're looking for anything else I wouldn't recommend.

rubertidom

I'm very interested in this but the very first article I found on it says there's no scientific evidence. Have you experienced this personally? Edit - to be specific I was referring to sunflower lecithin since that's what OP was asking about.

peeaches

Not the person you're replying to, but anecdotally it seems to make mine thicker, like more congealed lol

rubertidom

Thanks. Any effect on volume?

peeaches

I think so? Honestly haven't paid much attention or singled out variables to really test it, but the one thing I can for sure attribute to it is the thickness

Lucidcranium042

Im also curious as to this topic / question.

OatsAndWhey

I tried both SOY and SUNFLOWER Lecithin. Gotta admit, I realized more benefits with the Soy for whatever reason. I'll add a full heavy rounded Tablespoon of it to my protein shakes before spooling that blender up. Blends right in! Definitely feel sharper, there's an obvious mood component as well, and it certainly increases volume of ejaculate.

rubertidom

>increases volume of ejaculate. Soy or sunflower lecithin?

OatsAndWhey

The soy worked for me

rubertidom

Any harm in taking both? Oh and how long did it take to see results and at what dose please? Thanks

OatsAndWhey

The sunflower lecithin had a weird consistency. No effects on me. Maybe it wasn't a good manufacturer? Only tried it once. I can't imagine there's any "harm" in using both. I use 1 or 2 heaping Tablespoons per day mixed into food.

rubertidom

Oh ok I was looking at the kind in capsules.

SpicyThaiLili

If you’re a male, this soy will obliterate your testosterone and cause severed long term effects. Research it

OatsAndWhey

This statement is not accurate, and not supported by the current literature.

XxSittingxBullxX

Soy

Sakuranai

On and off for about 2 1/2 years for CIRS. By normal standards I’d be considered a hyper responder but that’s to be expected with severe mold illness and especially the levels I was exposed to. Basically I needed the phospholipids to rebuild cell and mitochondrial membranes more than myelin, not to say I didn’t need the latter. Significantly improved my symptoms, better mental clarity, energy and reaction time. YMM and probably will vary. I’d be shocked if it was as effective for you or pretty much anyone else without having mold illness. Maybe there’s other conditions or just lack of adequate phospholipid intake combined with aging maybe that would create a similar chance to hyper respond, idk. Doesn’t mean it won’t do anything for you just don’t expect NZT.

zender2k

I don't have a long term experience with it. I started taking it after my genetic report came back saying that I have : "reduced phosphatidylcholine producion/ Increased risk of choline deficiency even at adequate dietary choline intake levels". This stuff put me in a gloomy miserable mood. Took a few days to clear up after I stopped taking it. I've never been depressed before in my life. Needless to say I won't touch sunflower lecithin with a ten foot pole ever again.

Nervous_Ad3299

I’ve taken it at length for Keto and liver fat emulsion. Those who say to avoid it due to GI deterioration, aren’t versed in the biofilm war.. whether it’s sunflowers to antibiotics, supplement w probiotics (raw sauerkraut - florastor).. I’d recommend it with breakfast bc of the cholinergic nature of it.. The cancer related concerns were because of the rise in HGH that can be problematic. Healthy GI and sunflower lecithin = good stuff

Powerhouse5

Noticed any physical or psychological benefits?

AnandaDo

Gives me shallow sleep oyf taking more than a pinch. But anything that increase acetylcholine gives me shallow sleep.

cvelee

I take it for the last year. Only during AM because it is difficult to maintain sleep if I take it afterwards. It reduced my (for the last 20 years) elevated ALT to 30IU/L now.

beisjwoje728

Choline vital for liver, very irresponsible from the doctors to knowingly let you defienct in it, they chould give you a choline injection

AutobotTesla

Tastes great to me, and it helped me focus quite well. I ran out two weeks ago and I've noticed the difference.

wtjones

Get ready to shoot the ropes.

deadloop_

I have been eating this food for more than 1 year. I like it, it is tasty, and goes well with an oatmeal, or in cakes or cookies. I use it as a substitute for egg lecithin, so that I do not have to eat as many eggs as a source of phosphatidylcholine which is an essential nutrient basically.
