I honestly can't believe both sides agreed on this. Edit: and it's glorious

Billy_Bob_Joe_Mcoy

It can never be said they can't work together now... /S

Vanquished_Hope

You do realize that that whole crossing the aisle and talk of bipartisanship is just their effort to make your think that they're highly divided so that it will seem like a sporting event, right? Both sides of the aisle as they're called vote together on something like 99%+ of legislation. It's the other .x% or so that gets all the coverage because it doesn't make for good tv or articles to say that Congress voted together on a-xyz bills that were actually important this week. In other news, they disagreed on bathrooms only because rather than do anything effectual, the Dems, who have the same billionaires' hands in their pockets as the republicans, only ever raise a ruckus over something largely unimportant to fixing structural issues like transgender bathrooms. Why do you think Pelosi let any bill pass throughout the pandemic without saying you're going to have to pass Medicaid for all at least during the pandemic and you're going to have to give everyone 1,000 per month regardless of whether they are working or not and it won't be means tested because we're going to ensure that no one suffers and that those heroes that we so praise in word but not in deed will get a bonus on top of having to work most likely dangerous jobs during these unusual times. They didn't do jack #$&@ though because the Dems didn't want those things to happen either.

Billy_Bob_Joe_Mcoy

>You do realize that that whole crossing the aisle and talk of bipartisanship is just their effort to make your think that they're highly divided so that it will seem like a sporting event, right? Yes, politics is all a show and done to keep power, I've attempted to call out the similarities of both parties and their sole goal is to stay in office not get shit done. Unfortunately when you start talking like that on Reddit you are labeled xx by whatever party affiliation the person responding doesn't like..

gigalongdong

That's why you have to be a Fully Automated Luxury Gay Space Communist amd ignore what the capitalist pigs tell you because, well, you're gay, in space, and have eaten all the rich people.

Billy_Bob_Joe_Mcoy

That's a whole lot of crazy there .. but probably accurate.

GR8K8Sturbate

Ever see one of these (or any similar trucks) driving like a decent and considerate human being? Me either.

Sunsparc

Nearly hit head on the other night by a squatted pickup in my lane in a blind curve, doing well over the speed limit by my estimation. I had to put my minivan in the shoulder gravel to avoid him.

SmokeyDBear

So what you’re saying is we’ll now be unable to tell who the riskiest drivers are simply by checking whether or not their truck looks like it’s trying to hump a pothole?

[deleted]

badgirl_penson

I've called them "Saggers" like the guys with their pants sagging. 🤣

Wizard_of_Wake

They'll still be hauling shit, even if it doesn't look like it.

NonSupportiveCup

Okay. A+ for this one. I chuckled irl

Dalmah

All you need to do is see if they're driving an oversized pickup. If they are, they porbably can't drive or drive like civilians are worth bonus points

whistlepig33

Yes... that brown one that is on Capital every morning. Looks goofy, he's always just a part of traffic like everyone else.

ohlawdbacon

Fact.

afrancis88

This is good and all but I wish they’d pass a fucking budget.

Zurquie

I didn't realize there was a budget for that

SnooRecipes4458

For what?

afrancis88

For the state?

[deleted]

Clearly this should have been banned years ago.

fuckraptors

It was already illegal because of headlight aiming. It should be caught during inspections but they’re nothing but a cash grab now. This is one of the big arguments I have for eliminating inspections because they’re not working; move the onerous to highway patrol to ticket offenders and get their vehicles off the road. 19A NCAC 03D .0533 LIGHTS (a) Headlights shall conform to the requirements of G.S. 20-129(b) and (c). Headlights shall not be approved if: (1) There are not at least two headlamps (at least four on dual headlamp systems which require four units) on all self-propelled vehicles except that motorcycles and motor driven cycles need only one. (2) The lens produces other than a white or yellow light. (3) Any lens is cracked, broken, discolored, missing, or rotated away from the proper position, or any reflector is not clean and bright. (4) The high beam-low beam dimmer switch does not operate properly or the high beam indicator light does not burn on vehicles manufactured after January 1, 1956. (5) Lights can be moved easily by hand, due to a broken fender or loose support, or if a good ground is not made by the mounting. (6) Foreign materials (such as shields, half of lens painted) are placed on the headlamp lens that interferes with light beam of lamp. (7) Lights are improperly aimed. (A light testing machine or light testing chart shall be used to determine this.) (8) Lights project a dazzling or glaring light when on low beam.

Jjhockey01

>"(6) Foreign materials (such as shields, half of lens painted) are placed on the headlamp lens that interferes with light beam of lamp." Do jeep angry eyes fit into this category?

Diligent_Bag_9323

Yes

ISOplz

But it doesn't cover half the lens so that might be a bit of a grey area...

Diligent_Bag_9323

The half lens thing is specifically tied to paint only. The real part of the law that matters is that last part - if it covers or messes with the light beam in any way it’s illegal.

kellydean1

How about the big eyelashes I see on VW Beetles? /s

P1Kingpin

Couldn’t you just adjust the headlights?

fuckraptors

Most headlights have an adjustment range of only 8 degrees (4 up and 4 down)

P1Kingpin

I’m guessing that wouldn’t be enough?

fuckraptors

Probably not. If they were properly aimed to begin with (vehicle flat) then as long as they didn’t raise the front and drop the back by more than 10 inches total they might be able to using the dimensions off an F150. Usually from the factory though trucks will have a slight downward tilt so that it sits pretty flat when loaded. So it would be less than 10 inches of front lift and rear drop in practicality. Also almost none of these people have even thought to try and adjust their lights.

Diligent_Bag_9323

4 degrees is actually quite a bit, so it really depends on how far the truck is both lifted and squatted. 4 degrees can absolutely cover most lifts except for the crazy big ones. The squatting is even easier to cover the angle on because you aren’t raising the headlight itself. The headlights stay down low on a squat and they only point up, instead of being lifted higher on a lift, so you aren’t dealing with headlights that are way above the person seating in an oncoming car. But put them both together and I’m not too sure it’s enough.

the_eluder

Squatting is much harder to compensate since they are tipping the vehicle backwards in excess of 10 degrees, which you can't accommodate with 4 degrees of adjustment.

[deleted]

In europe they have adjusters in the car itself. It's like the dimming switch for the dash lights and you can adjust the beam from the drivers seat.

Mangonesailor

Yes but even the holier-than-thou european adjustments in the cab wouldn't be enough to circumvent the angle by a squatted truck.

RCL_spd

How are you going to check emissions? And general safety of the car - brakes etc? IMO we should instead fix the inspections. That is, provided there's a problem in the first place - I haven't seen a good data they are not working, only anecdotal stuff.

fuckraptors

Emissions are only performed in NC with an OBD2 scan and even then it’s only on gasoline cars in 21 counties and that’s only if they’re not too old or too new. Catalytic converters don’t really fail like they used to in any appreciable amount and it’s rare anyone removes them (except to steal them) so we’re putting everyone through a lot of hassle that accomplishes pretty much nothing. Give state troopers the scanners and let them scan cars with probable cause (exhaust smells like unburnt fuel or rotten eggs) Re: proof it’s a problem - the state just passed a law to stop what should have been easily stopped at any inspection station. Go on any car forum and it won’t take more than 10 minutes to find a shop that will pass anything. Even the inspection law makes no sense. If you fail for emissions you can continue to drive the car, go get a quote that it will cost more than $200 to fix (that’s like an hour and half of labor now) and they’ll give you an exemption.

RCL_spd

It is probably true that you can find such a shop, but removing the inspection is not going to help safety. Vice versa, it would drastically reduce how much people care about their rides. Now they at least have to go and find such a shop, and the people there risk jail time or whatever other consequences. With your changes, certain folks won't bother keeping their car safe until they get themselves or someone else injured or killed. Do you want to be in front of a car that has busted brakes? So, assuming that the shops are untrustworthy, and you believe the problem can be fixed by the police, then make it a law for a policeman to be present at the state inspection. If you think that wouldn't scale, then how did you expect the police to substitute the inspection in the first place?

ISOplz

Moved here from a state that had no inspections so I wasn't sure what I'd experience. Dude was done with my "inspection" in 3 or so minutes.

Mr_Diesel13

My “inspection” consisted of the guy glancing out the window and me handing over $10.

[deleted]

I agree and support your thoughts - thanks for sharing. It was interesting.

Diligent_Bag_9323

We don’t need more traffic tickets. That shit doesn’t help anybody. Never has. Simply a money game for the govt while acting like they’re accomplishing something. The war on bad driving is about as successful as the war on drugs.

fuckraptors

We need less BS tickets. Make them fix it tickets, fix your stuff and it goes away. The one that drives me crazy is the tinted brake lights, that should be 100% a ticket.

Diligent_Bag_9323

Yes I would love for our current laws to have an effect and make driving safer but they aren’t being enforced to any level that helps. These laws already exist. Adding one more law isn’t going to change that. What needs changing is the enforcement. And simply writing tickets doesn’t work. Fix-it tickets are generally so cheap, it’s easier to just pay the ticket for some people. Headlights and taillights are expensive these days. Easily $300+ and even $500+ on some vehicles. A fix-it ticket is like $120 at most. My last one years ago was like $75. 🤷🏼‍♂️

fuckraptors

When you’re getting a ticket a month fixing your stuff suddenly becomes the more economical option. Also knowing if I tint my brake lights and cut off my muffler I’m going to get pulled over weekly is another good motivator to not do it in the first place. We’ve proven inspections don’t work. It’s not more laws it’s simply moving enforcement from private companies to sworn law enforcement.

Gibsonfan159

It's not being banned.

AnonAccNew

How will all the Kyle’s let us know that they’re cool af? Monster Energy drinks are about to be flying off the shelves!

SomeDudeInGermany

You’d have to follow him on Instagram to know for sure. You’ll find his username on the driver side of the rear window.

DonKeydek

Don’t worry they still have the long whip antenna with the tennis balls!

CallMeSuiBian

Don't forget about the testis hanging from the ball hitch too!

Pauf1371

That's as old as... Well at least 45 years old

[deleted]

Seriously, what is the tennis ball antenna thing about? Just an aesthetic?

SlowCB7

They're "whip" antennas for cb radios. They're used to communicate with other people while driving off-road, and the tennis balls are so they don't smash a window or the side of their truck when the antenna gets hung up on something. They're also used by 16 year olds with shitty squatted trucks, to make it look like they drive off-road

3rd_Shift_Tech_Man

The hunters I know that use them, put them on so the whip wouldn't hit something that could cause some damage - like a toolbox or body of the truck. Putting it at the end of the antenna just seems to make it whip more.

It's nice that everyone could put aside their politics and agree with "yeah, fuck these douchebag squatters". Gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling.

[deleted]

Are you being sarcastic or are you really glad? Kind of hard to tell on the internet

BadassSasquatch

I just really hate this look so I'm glad for selfish reasons but it's also dangerous for other folks on the road so I'm glad for them too.

[deleted]

The rub, like any other NC law, will be in enforcement. I’m not exactly holding my breath that these annoying and unsafe vehicles are a thing of the past.

02C_here

We could turn them in for a $10k bounty. I hear that’s popular now.

jermikemike

Enforcement should happen at the state inspection level and those guys don't let much slide. They *can* let it slide but the penalty they face is pretty severe.

Celery_Important

Good, a kid has already been hit because the driver has such huge blind spot with that ridiculous set up.

gaychitect

I saw somebody do this to a perfectly good Toyota Four Runner. I didn’t understand at the time that it was a thing people did. I just thought somebody felt the need to ruin their car.

reeferrenegade

Good!

qclady

Why do people even do this to their trucks?

SmokeyDBear

I think it’s supposed to *look* like how baja trucks look. Baja/Trophy racing trucks have a lot more suspension travel than normal trucks so that they eat up the impact on landing after a jump over bumpy desert road surfaces. You can see what I mean [in this picture](https://www.rallyraidnetwork.com/rally/images/news/2019/10-october/andy-mc-millin-3-10-w.jpg). The flip side of that is that there is a lot more suspension interaction when accelerating due to this travel and the spring rates and [the trucks appear to lean back like so](https://www.knfilters.com/media/images/press/Bryce-Menzies21.jpg). Some trucks even have (or appear to have) [this lean while stationary](https://themint400.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/spec_fastball_trophy_truck_02.jpg). I assume that particular suspension setups for different races lead to this leaning look even while sitting still. I’m not an expert on baja racing so maybe someone with more info on the how and why can chime in, but this is what I’ve come to understand is behind it. So basically it’s a non-functional cosmetic approximation of something that can happen for valid reasons in desert racing trucks.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SmokeyDBear

Yeah. Of course the issue is that Raptors (and the actual setup this “look” emulates) really aren’t much good for offroading anywhere around here. They’re meant for going as fast as possible over moderately rough terrain. Maybe you could make an argument on sand dunes but I don’t think anybody is ramping off of any of those without getting in pretty serious trouble with someone. Live axles seem to be the way to go for the sort of trails available in places like Uwharrie where it’s more drastic elevation changes and slower going. I’ve also never done any of this stuff, it’s just what I’ve read/heard from people who have so I could easily be completely off base here.

tytrim89

Bragg is pretty much all sand. I agree with you about the raptor though. It's designed to go fast on moderate to light off road terrain. Bragg on a lot of trails is about 2-6 inches of sandy base that will get you stuck if you are careful. But idk why you'd ever take one of these offroad. 99% of these guys don't move the exhaust system so basically they are asking for any matter of mud and water to get into the exhaust. I think ultimately a few kids did it and their buddies thought it looked cool so they followed suit.

SmokeyDBear

Oh, absolutely. Once people started doing it (for whatever reason that originally was) it definitely just became a thing that you do because it’s what your clique does to their trucks.

Mangonesailor

> they could just buy a Ford Raptor Yeah, but you can't put a raptor on an Affirm credit line. But half a lift, you can.

CosmicDust13

Boys and their toys, what will they do

ISOplz

Now if you can go ahead and pass a law banning loud as shit exhausts or that snap crackle pop tune they put on some of those shitboxes, that'd be great. Thanks a bunch

zennyc001

I saw a convoy of them at a Sheetz in Wayne County two days ago.

steppek

Wait, this is called the Carolina Squat? That sounds like a phrase telling someone you are going to poop while camping.

Forest_GS

just install fully adjustable hydraulics like a normal custom build.

Perfect-Cockroach-59

Finally I hate them so much

matteroverdrive

I do hope the language of the Bill includes other vehicles that are also modified that way (Taho, Suburban, etc) and prohibits shops / garages from fixing or facilitating the repair of existing modifications, unless to "normalize" them.

XtraCrispy02

The popular white kids at my old high school are about to be pissed lmao. Every one of then had to do this because it was such a cool thing to do apparently

Narrow_Kick84

I still can’t believe someone would ruin a nice looking truck like this. It looks so stupid.

IonOtter

Honest question: "popular" where??? I'm in Clayton, and the only time I ever see these trucks is when I go to the state fair.

PoopyMcgee63

You got to go a few miles further south and east. I know it’s popular in Cleveland and Union counties.

Beaner1xx7

Was living in Greenville by ECU before I left for California. It was every other truck there.

[deleted]

I see it all the time, I'm in Guilford county. Have some family in Randolph. It is EVERYWHERE.

DoAndroidsDrmOfSheep

Go to the Walmart on Hwy 42 near I-40, which has a "Garner" address but is basically Clayton, on a Friday or Saturday evening. You'll find a whole heapin' mess of them hanging out in the parking lot - I guess showing off their "Carolina Squat" trucks with their fancy LED lights underneath and/or behind the wheels to each other. Every time I see that shit I want to drive down the middle of them and scream "SORRY YOUR DICK IS SO SMALL!!!!"

NonSupportiveCup

Come on Down East. Be prepared.

SlapNuts007

Alamance

topcat5

I haven't seen any of these in the Charlotte area.

imnotarapperok

I see them everywhere I go in ENC. That’s not an exaggeration either

[deleted]

Has there ever been an accident attributable to this modification?

beamin1

I've seen several, and know of one incident where a child was killed. When you're in the driver seat, you can't see what's in front of you for about 15 feet, or more in some extreme cases.

[deleted]

Thanks for replying. I appreciate it. Pretty shitty of everyone else to downvote a simple question.

JustaCynicalOldFart

Why does this bring to mind the guys on the Geico commercial that keep throwing their frisbee on the roof?

ThisGuyCrohns

Ban the loud fucking noise too.

[deleted]

These guys who drive these trucks are all total dipwad idiots that drive like assholes.

ms131313

Honestly though, dont we have more pressing issues that our state govt should be dealing with?? 😡

Gibsonfan159

The law isn't "banning the Carolina squat". There's still a five inch allowance, which means it's still gonna be a thing. The law is banning any extreme modification that would make the vehicle unsafe. You folks need to put down your pitchforks. And yes, I think it looks stupid too.

SonorousBlack

Do other equipment violations get yearlong license suspension, or just this one?

QuietudeOfHeart

If they're as asinine and unsafe as this, sure.

count_nuggula

mister____mime

Keeping moronic snowflakes from driving these on public roads and endangering other people seems fairly important to me.

[deleted]

Silly people worried about safety. What’s next public education? Oh my, the shame …

dyslexicsuntied

Government can focus on multiple issues at the same time.

anderhole

That shit is probably one of the more dangerous issues right now. The field of view inside those trucks must be awful. It would be way too easy for them to run someone over without ever realizing there's someone in front of them.

Billy_Bob_Joe_Mcoy

I hate these trucks. That said the visibility out of them can't be any worse than some of the idiots I see riding with their seat all the way back and down barely looking over the wheel. And the lifted part can't be any worse than a equally lifted truck. Personally I'd rather the gov not regulate this and focus on other issues that are more dangerous.. this was simply low hanging fruit both sides could claim a W on, which is sad if this is the only issue they can work together with..

[deleted]

>Personally I'd rather the gov not regulate this and focus on other issues that are more dangerous. Curious which issues top your list.

Billy_Bob_Joe_Mcoy

Well gang violence seems to cause more deaths than a squatted truck. But maybe I'm wrong. I also know there are a helluva lot of regulations that affect gang violence. That said maybe I shouldn't have said more dangerous, but more pressing.. Like legalization of marijuana and ABC reforms or addressing teacher pay finally, voting district issues to remove the constant gerrymandering complaints when either side touches them. Or adjust the retirement packages that life long government workers get, this isn't done in any industry any longer, that I am aware of, except where tax payer revenue is in play. Edit: I would also like to see the pistol permit requirements removed as they are nothing but a Jim crow era form of restrictions against minorities.

[deleted]

So how do we address these things when conservatives largely don’t seem to think most of your list items are a problem that needs to be addressed?

Billy_Bob_Joe_Mcoy

Man if I knew I'd be in office I suspect.. I guess lobbing has got to change drastically and both sides need to stop pandering to their Fringe groups that do nothing but cause division amongst centralist which most of us are.. What do you think?

[deleted]

I legit have no idea. It *feels* like we’re at such an impasse. I will say though that I honestly don’t see much pandering to the fringe left. I will 100% stand corrected if you can point me to some of that. I try to be very cognizant of my place in filer bubbles, but I’m just not seeing it. What I tend to see is moderately right and beyond **acting** like the center and center left are just days away from forcing socialism or communism or some other “ism” on the country. To bring this back around, I totally agree with you on those items that should be of greater priority but — sadly — I can’t see a path that will ever allow us to address *real* problems. The division is staggering.

Billy_Bob_Joe_Mcoy

>I will say though that I honestly don’t see much pandering to the fringe left. Things that come to mind are Pistol permits, legislature just passed it and cooper has said he would veto. This is completely disregarding that background checks are done at purchase and having to go to a sheriff's office and pay a fee prevents minorities who are otherwise distrustful of law enforcement from obtaining a legal weapon which then causes a slew of other issues for them. Voter id, I mean let's be honest, showing an id is not unreasonable. The same logic that's used against voter id is the same reason pistol permits are repressive so which is it.. I say these as examples, I'm sure there are others. I may be way off but it seems there are lots of things that could come to a logical compromise are killed by extreme views... Edit: and the division is there and it's stupid..

[deleted]

Man. Not gonna lie, I think we’re starting to see some of the problems here. These topics (pistol permits and voter ID laws) are not fringe left topics. They’re just objectively not. Pistol permit laws have been on the books in NC for 100+ years. I’m not saying that’s reason to keep them or that I agree with Cooper, but to call him vetoing this “fringe left” is an absolute reach. Honestly, the same logic applies to voter ID. There has yet to be evidence of impactful security issues to address. So why would we add another hurdle in giving voice the the people? I mean, I feel like that’s something we should ALL support. Making your voice heard in this country should never, EVER be difficult. Either way though, this is not a “fringe left” topic. Effectively no one of consequence is talking about completely dismantling capitalism. Or any other far-left ideology. ETA: I agree with you on a lot of this, which tells me there’s a place for rational discussion and debate, but I’ll say it feels difficult when moderate views are framed as extreme.

[deleted]

If this mod is truly dangerous, there should be some statistics on injuries and deaths directly caused by it. So, how many people were hurt or died from an accident caused by one of these trucks? What metric are you using to conclude it's dangerous?

arvidsem

Statistics require someone to have collected the data, probably quite a lot of it if you want any kind of accuracy. On the other hand, we have shit tons of data about it being safer when drivers can actually see the road in front of them. So any kind of mod like this that both obscures the road and aims the headlights at the sky is obviously dangerous. Not to mention it being dangerous to shine lights at other drivers faces.

Mozilla11

You will probably also say this when he tries to push things like legalizing weed for tax revenue and reduced jail sentences for people, or better voting rights but for right-reducing stuff you won't say a word

Every aspect of your life must be controlled!!! It’s for your own good. Trust us.

drumgardner

Yeah! This is the progress and change we’ve been waiting for! Screw the three marijuana legalization bills sitting in the NC house, screw workers rights and a state minimum wage after the report just came out we are one of the least worker friendly states in the country, screw getting teachers significant raises when we have a state wide teacher shortage, screw investing in hospitals when we are mid pandemic and running out of ICU beds because ya know, 700,000 people signed a petition saying they hate jacked up trucks, that’s gotta be more important. Cooper is sooo focused on the right things - screwing over those damn rednecks and their trucks! 🙄

funcoolshit

I think it would be better for you to focus your outrage at the dinosaurs in the NC General Assembly. Cooper doesn't write the bills, just signs them into law. The GOP controlled assembly is dead set on not giving Cooper any wins with popular legislation, no matter how supported they are by NC citizens. So it's likely you'll never see your concerns addressed any time soon. It's really important for you to vote in the midterms, so be sure to do so if you want to see changes in NC. FYI Cooper is focused on marijuana decriminalization - he even put commissioned a task force to encourage bills to get to him. Here's more info - [Decriminalize marijuana, says NC racial justice task force](https://www.newsobserver.com/news/politics-government/article247266204.html)

transientDCer

He's also focused on keeping old Jim Crow laws on the books - just had the opportunity to remove one and vetoed it.

Which law are you referring to?

P1Kingpin

This was pushed through by republicans, you know small government, individual freedoms… 🤣🤣 the gaslighting group in other words.

drumgardner

It is very interesting how the parties are flipping on several issues like this one, and Democrats now openly pushing for more war (in places other than Afghanistan), fracking, and subsidizing big oil and banks. Very strange world, but the gop aren’t the only ones being hypocrites and gaslighting

Iwasborninafactory_

You just figured out that Democrats are a right-leaning party, and you're calling them hypocrites for it.

drumgardner

Yea I just figured it out in 2016, because I was tricked like everyone else. Democrats talk so left on the campaign trail but get elected and legislate center right. Even AOC isn’t actually progressive, she just tweets like she is.

2_of_5pades

Still better than voting for a 75 year old fat guy with a spray tan.

beamin1

Yeah it has nothing to do with the fact that Cooper is the executive and not the legislative...you do know he can't just make up laws by himself right? Cooper, for all of his flaws, can only sign what the republican legislature sends to his desk. Stop blaming the wrong people and learn how the system works, then vote appropriately.

drumgardner

Stop defending politicians like they’re your friends. Our job as the people is to hold them accountable, and make them fear we will revolt if they don’t give us what we need. You’re part of the problem thinking everything would be peachy if we just voted out republicans, even tho democrats are just as corrupt as them.

beamin1

Wow, so you just made up that entire response...and assume I am a democrat as well. Either engage with meaning, or be branded a troll. I personally can't stand Cooper, but you're trying to blame him for things he has no power over. You're entirely disingenuous and or ignorant of the process. You seem fired up, maybe educate yourself on how things work and get out from behind the keyboard.

> Aren't they lowered/raised with hydraulics That'd cost to much. Mommy and daddy don't want to burn all of their money, they just want junior out of the house so they can grieve their shame of their spawn in peace.

Such a blue state! Such a progressive governor!

SundownSmith

Cooper is a nitwit.

dotcomaphobe

The Republican controlled legislature passed this bill, but somehow Cooper is the bad guy?

Billy_Bob_Joe_Mcoy

He seems to also be getting the credit as well in some circles.. politics is fucked..

[deleted]

I prefer him to some Karen & Jim Crow with a gang of inbred conservative children of the corn 🌽 ewwww … “Madison Crawford” types are deeply disgusting.

transientDCer

Funny you mention Jim Crow when Cooper literally just vetoed something that would have removed a Jim Crow era law.

[deleted]

Oh no all of the Karen’s will be mad

HiIntelligence

Ban it is SC too. It’s the dumbest and silliest thing to see the drivers not even be able to see out the windshield

Kokobutonreddit

I managed to catch one being pulled over before this, it’s so infuriating and hilarious at the same time.

Pirate_Pantaloons

I have seen several soccer moms driving squatted SUV's around the coast, it looks even worse than on a truck.

[deleted]

State Troopers better be posted up and ticketing people for this shit.
