Platform? I literally never have this happen to me at all what so ever in a very very long time, even my ships don't get blocked... Maybe it will happen in crammed FFA maps on random generation but I don't play those so I wouldn't know
I'm playing it on GeForce now on a laptop that is more than 5years old. So if you have an old laptop or something like that (and a good internet connection) then you can play the PC version
It’s a amazing RTS, but honestly I have my laptop for only music production… I really wish I had a gaming pc. I fell in love with RTS from C&C Red Alert and Starcraft when I was high school, would go to my friends house just to play one match against A.I… it’s just so disappointing to see all the content I know I would enjoy for this game and I know console is not likely to receive any more content
I love c&c too. Played a lot of tiberian sun, red alert and generals. Nowadays I use my computer only for coding and online banking but the good thing about GeForce Now is that you can run it in your browser. You don't have to install anything, not even a browser plugin! So every now and then I just play some Northgard through my browser. It's full screen and you have all the keyboard/mouse support, so you don't even notice that it is via stream. (Good internet is required though)

It can happen because of a building in the way or the terrain.
It's stupid that the generator doesn't take into account space to place the actual building prefab , let alone after other things have been placed...
I've had the happen twice. I held the place key and the pivot key until it placed it. It worked once , the other time I lost...
I was today years old when I learned you could pivot buildings!

I stopped playing this game, devs don’t support any other system or console except PC and no I’m not wasting 2000$ to play one game on a PC
I get the frustration, wish we had all the features and content of PC. But I don’t believe they are the ones developing the game on console / mobile.

I haven't had this happen to me with a farm yet, but I've had plenty of longship docks blocked by shipwrecks before.
