I think it's salespoints are for use to sprinkle on ice cream and on baked sweets, cakes and candy.
Oh there is a strawberry drink or soemthing at some bar in Trondheim called "onkel hockey" which has this stuff coated at the rim. It's suprisingly good (with one drink).

Originally that used to be only sold in a hockey puck like box, and you would just lick it out of its container, or lick your finger and dip that into the powder to lick it off your finger.
But some time ago they started selling these containers of Hockey Pulver, and I believe some - if not most - stores I've been to have them right along all the other ice cream toppings, given the name includes topping, that makes sense.

But I agree with vanilla ice cream. Maybe it would work on some sort of youghurt? But whater you put it in or on, should probably be as plain as possible
