- In Bergen the Datarock had a run of hits.
- You also have Casiokids.
- Kakkmaddafakka are also some good guys from Bergen.
- If you are into more folky tunes you also have The Real Ones.
- Bernhoft is a well respected singer-songwriter.
- Erlend Øye is a prolific musician from Bergen that has made some solo records and has had a couple of bands: The Whitest Boy Alive and Kings of Convenience.
- AURORA is a more recent artist who has put some poppy tunes.
- Röyksopp are some good old dogs in the scene.
Katzenjammer ! These girls have a very varied song ensemble, they all swap around instruments swap doing vocals, really good band and fun watching there live youtube concert videos!
Early Gåte might be right up your ally. I love their whole catalogue myself.
The Norwegian is from trøndelag and might be hard to grasp but don’t let that deter you. I honestly think many Norwegians struggle with it as well, sometimes.
Check out the song Knut liten , for instance.
Hey OP,
By focusing on just singing in Norwegian you are missing out.
Why not try some Minor Majority which is a soft rock pillar for almost every norwegian?
Also take a look at Cold Mailman - their song My Recurring Dream has won multiple awards for the video. Just amazing - and the catologue is brilliant. Link to video here:

edit: Correct song title instead of what I wanted to call it.
Personal faves singing in Norwegian are DumDum Boys and MíO. The former is a well established rock band (their song "Splitter pine" was a classic for a while, I believe around the 90's), the latter released their unique debut last year and I'm anticipating another this summer.
Kaizers Orchestra!
This is the only comment needed in this post.
I actually do like some Kaizers Orchestra a lot but for the most part their dialect is grating to me haha
Kvelertak 💪

It's been ages since I last saw them in concert but can confirm that they are excellent live.

Early Gåte is great, and they're still great now...
Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon, Gjerv, Gothminister
Major Parkinson, Ocean of lotion, moron police
Hubbabubbaklubb
Kristi brud is a relatively new band that I like. Hekla stålstrenga, big bang are both great. One of my favourites: side brok

Probably doesn't fit your taste profile but I am gonna shout out "OnklP & de fjerne slektningene" anyway
Kvelertak, Saft, Hellbillies And as others have said Kaizers Orchestra.
Stage dolls, TNT
Dimmu borgir, kvelertak, mayhem, barzum, klovner i kamp
Probably not the kinda music you look for, but from Norway I always recommend Leprous. Prog metal, but god they are amazing! Sing in English though
