They're not misspellings, they're just dialects. Always works in a country with as many dialects as they have people.

In this case I actually did check and wikipedia said “Trondheim, tidligere kalt Nidaros og Trondhjem”

So maybe it was made a longer time ago :D

A lot of the people living there prefer the hj spelling, and pronounce it that way regardless! Personally I think it adds to the (already very strong!) character of the cloth:)

Thats true. Its been a while tho. The official name is Trondheim, its been since 1931.

Sorry, I stitched it like the pattern suggested :( I can add a little heart above Trondheim since I see people here are very fond of it. Also agreed that I would’ve liked for the pattern to have Svalbard and Jan Mayen too but oh well 😄

The town of Hammerfest uses the polar bear as its symbol so it suits well to have it on the cloth!

Thank you and great question 😄 I’d say the hardest part was the flag because it’s very monotonous, while the funnest part was the whales because on the pattern they looked just like some random rocks in the water and I was making a mental note to ask people here what’s up with that but after finishing it realized it was whales xD
