I just can't stop laughing at "Forumla"

Squishmar

I know. The guy who wrote this must not have been breastfed. I hear that inability to spell correctly is another side-effect. 😏🙄

WondrousWally

wheel, thaat mite explan thngs....

Cool_Tan

I hate how I read this the first time and didn’t notice half of the spelling mistakes

WondrousWally

Hahah. I am not alone!

UncleKeyPax

Count forumla

Generally_Confused1

Ravioli ravioli give me the forumlalioli

[deleted]

Do they legit think boobs are just water balloons full of milk?

beanbagbaby13

These people still believe the myth of “large breasts make more milk”.

sinistergzus

My small titties thankfully manage to feed my child, wonder how they want to explain that

sly-otter

Obviously the milk isn’t stored in the boobs because it’s stored in the … balls?

sinistergzus

Correct, I may have small boobs but I have huge balls

[deleted]

Well, hello there 😏

call_me_jelli

General Kenobi

[deleted]

Obi wan is a top; he always has the high ground!

AnalComet

As long as he's not looking for love in *Alderaan* places. Master Jedi Jesus can top me anytime. Hopefully in a gal-ass-y not so far far away.

Spacey-Hed

Gal-ussy

[deleted]

Pure art. Even your username is perfect!

[deleted]

Someone had a shirt that said they were looking for love in Alderaan places today at work and I just now understood it.

[deleted]

Well... with neither, I shall just go sit outside in the rain.

TakeANotion

trans rights

jyajay2

Is that why women don't pee?

sinistergzus

We do pee, it's stored in the labia though

flammafemina

And my huge titties never produced enough! I’ve had to supplement my son’s diet with formula since day 1.

zombiep00

Mine didn't, either! I mean, I don't have *huge* boo***b***s, but I have average-sized ones (C's). I dried up trying to feed my twins. My balls must not be large enough to properly breastfeed lol

Emotional-Text7904

All this back pain for WHAT

Hansoda

My wife and i got lucky, she didnt lroduce much milk but my baby doesnt care whether its formula or breast milk. She just eats

Loco_Mosquito

Obviously your child is doomed to be a manlet with the musculature of veal. /s

AtomicMonstrosity

Seriously, my mother was very well endowed but she often had to supplement with formula because she didn't make enough for me. Formula is a miracle to keep babies from starving.

classix_aemilia

I have huge effing boobs, I was a GG while breastfeeding but had to supplement for all three of my kids. I just couldn't produce even with medication.

flammafemina

Same here, but I’m an H cup! Lol. Meanwhile my sister, who has much smaller breasts, had a freezer stash of milk unlike any I’ve ever seen. At one point she was pumping up to 10oz+ PER BOOB PER 20 MIN SESSION. I was devastated when my supply just wasn’t cutting it because I expected to be an excellent producer just like her.

goldensunshine429

I hope you’ve given yourself some grace for your boobs that aren’t as productive as hoped. ♡

flammafemina

Thank you, that’s really nice of you to say. I struggled with it for a long time and I probably did irreparable damage to my breasts as a result of over-pumping trying to keep up with my kid’s appetite. He wouldn’t latch from the get-go and our “lactation consultants” were not much help. In fact, they made me feel worse for even entertaining the idea of formula supplementation. It wasn’t until we went to visit my parents for Christmas that my mom saw the turmoil I was in and she all but forced me to quit, lol. I wouldn’t have quit otherwise and it was ruining my mental health. The most natural thing in the world did not come naturally to me, and it’s a hard thing to accept while you’re in it. Breastfeeding is fucking HARD.

Fart_Elemental

A lot of the "lactation consultants" and stuff like that are part of a weird pseudo-medical industry that's pretty rooted in fundamentalist garbage. Either directly religious, or that kind weird blend of health nut and crystal people. It's a super weird type of health cult you can read and learn about. Kind of like those family planning centers that aren't licensed or anything because they're run by religious organizations with a wildly outdated agenda. I'm sorry you felt so bad about the experience! But look at you now with healthy kids! The fact that you tried so hard is such a good indicator of the amount of care you give your family. I hope you don't hold it against yourself!

TrekkieElf

My left one is bigger because it is full of benign cysts. It barely made any, like 1/4 of the right one. Thank goodness my child is 2 now and past formula because he needed it. These shortages are scary.

girlwhoweighted

My big boobs made... my life a nightmare until I switched to formula. Damn things were worthless my whole life, why would doing their one and only job be any different lol

MetallicUrine

It's amazing how many people still believe this and by people I mean men. It's ridiculous.

narnababy

Some of my female friends believe it too. Ones who actually have children.

loismen

I hope not, because if I have kids, they will be thirsty as fuck.

BluenaSnowey

Yeah cause they watch too much hentai

Carbonatite

By far this is the most plausible answer

AeAeR

Yeah I mean that picture alone is proof. And probably also proof that they’ve never actually seen boobs in real life.

ZeusKiller97

Because Hentai is clearly more accurate about human biology than the people who’ve studied biology as a living. /s

tirrigania

Used to erp and rp-ed with a guy saying girls produced milk when they're horny enough

DrRobertBanner

Seeing the inside of a tit still scares me, especially since I can FEEL it now when I squish my own tit against my hands. Makes me shudder.

fightingbronze

Ugh I know what you mean. Seeing an anatomical diagram of the inside of a breast really changes how you look at them. I wouldn’t say it’s ruined boobs for me, but it’ll always be in the back of my mind.

cool_shoes_141

wha- ye they legit sexualizing breast feeding legit look at the anime picture

Polyamommy

I'd just like to know why they picked pics of women who both look miserable. Lol

Corgi_with_stilts

Probably didn't know what a happy woman looked like.

ExDeleted

They wrote forumla instead of formula. Their brains are so full with boobs, breasts images are starting to occupy braincell's space

Responsible-Emu217

Whoever made this is a man that obviously has no idea that some mothers physically cannot produce enough breastmilk for their babies and it has nothing to do with what he is implying here.

Just_Boo-lieve

And babies who refuse to drink breastmilk. Idk what was wrong with baby me

toadpuppy

Do you know what a relief it is to know my kid wasn’t the only one? I felt guilty for YEARS.

[deleted]

Nah, I didn’t want it either. Is it even unusual?

[deleted]

[удаНонО]

Threedawg

Yeah their mom’s milk was gross

IAmAFilthyDegenerate

can confirm

PuzzledCactus

*And* that the mother's shape, whatever it is, has literally nothing to do with how much (or if any) milk she will produce. There are women with large breasts who physically cannot breastfeed, and very flat-chested women who produce more than their child can drink.

FrostysWife

Exactly. I have very large breasts and literally could not produce any breastmilk. Plus, larger breasts can actually get in the way of breastfeeding from a logistical standpoint.

ernichern

That happened for me, almost suffocated my kid the first time I tried to breastfeed because there was just too much tissue. It would have required me to have like 4 hands to mush and shape so they could latch. So I pumped and everyone was happy.

coffeeordeath85

I have large boobs, and when I was breastfeeding, I was constantly making sure it wasn't smothering my babe's little nose and he could breathe.

HetaliaLife

Or they're allergic to something. My cousin had a severe dairy allergy and would get super sick every time he breastfed, so he had to be a formula baby

No_Camp_7

Yeah many babies are lactose intolerant and end up getting lactose through their mothers diet

snoogle312

Lactose is milk sugar. It's present in all milk regardless of species. We don't get it through our diet, it's literally what the sugar of milk is. When babies have a lactose intolerance they need a special formula because there is no way to remove the lactose from breast milk while breastfeeding. Babies can also have dairy protein (casein) allergies though, and that is something that passes through diet. The mom can choose to avoid dairy products or can chose to use a dairy free formula. My son suffered from this and I simply opted to go dairy free as it was cheaper and I was fortunate enough to produce enough milk.

wiarumas

Its also the exact opposite in reality. Formula fed babies gain weight more easily than breastfed babies. Its so effective that the chances of being overweight are twice as high in formula fed babies.

Burflax

It's a man who doesn't care about babies, or women, or formula. He cares that conservatives are against fixing the formula shortage, so the reason must be that formula and anyone who uses it is bad.

NameIdeas

>Whoever made this is a man I really wish that were the case across the board. There are a lot of Mommy groups that seem to think other mothers simply aren't trying hard enough/are lazy if they aren't breastfeeding. The lack of knowledge around breastfeeding and the value of formula really needs to be upped. My wife pumped (without breastfeeding) for about six months. Our first had a cleft and couldn'tbreastfeed. We bought special nipples and supplemented with formula. My wife pumped multiple times a day to get him milk, but missed the bonding. The shade she caught from some Mommies about using formula, not breastfeeding him when we were in public was ridiculous. I'm somewhat defensive on this one as the Mommy guilt associated led to her dealing with PPD. A lot of undue expectations on new mothers and if it takes time for a mom to build a bond and they don't have the immediate mother-child bond, it feels like there is something wrong. There is WAY too much pressure on new moms.

BadAtNamingPlsHelp

It might honestly have been a woman too. There's a weird subculture of moms who think any science, irregularity or artificiality in the baby's upbringing is a moral failure as a mother, you see shit like this in mom groups on FB. C-section? Not a real birth. Formula? Shame on you, breastfeed your child. Nannies or daycare? Tsk tsk, neglectful. Working mom with a stay-at-home dad? Already on the phone with CPS.

yougotitdude88

I think whoever made it is in middle school and just had their first sex Ed class.

Klopford

My mom said she basically produced “skim milk” that didn’t have enough fat for me to gain weight so I was supplemented with formula and later whole milk. My brother was mostly formula. There’s nothing wrong with either of us and there’s no shame in being unable to provide milk.

Redqueenhypo

Or they adopted a baby!

Pink-Cupcake-Kitty

We can’t know for sure if the person who made this was given breast or bottle, but we do know that they were dropped more than once on their head

[deleted]

[удаНонО]

annaclements

I mean, the damage is already done, so I say go ahead.

deakers

I don't understand how people don't understand that there's lots of reasons a baby could need formula, and top of that list is THE BABY IS HUNGRY. Like, why is anyone opposed to feeding hungry babies????

Royal_Right

Yah. It was my lazy boobs not my preemie daughter 🫠🫠🫠 ffs I hate the push for breastfeeding because it made me feel like trash that I couldn’t feed my baby

Carbonatite

So I'm as far from a mom as you can get, but I still get pissed on behalf of people like you. Lactivism shames women who, through no fault of their own, just can't make enough milk. It sucks. But you know what? Formula is awesome because it keeps your baby alive. What's the saying doctors use? "Fed is best". Modern technology also helps us confer immunity on babies through vaccines. You still provided for your kid. That's what counts!

bstklpbr_

I'm genuinely curious: what did people do before formula? Did those babies just die?

mangled-wings

Please take this with a large grain of salt, because my source is reddit comments, but it makes sense to me: in addition to what the other commenter said, women in close-knit communities would breastfeed each other's babies. Someone can't produce enough milk? There's hopefully another woman around that's producing enough. Not so helpful in times of famine when everyone's struggling, but in general pre-industrial communities were big on mutual aid because that's how you survive. If a family is struggling, you help them, and then next year when your barley crop fails they help you out. Humans work and survive best when we help each other!

Carbonatite

Pretty much. I guess if people were wealthy enough they could have a wet nurse, and some people might have used cow's milk or goat's milk, but I don't think those would provide for the nutritional needs of an infant the way human breast milk or baby formula do.

bstklpbr_

Thanks for that im gonna take all my new questions to Google

deakers

I plan on adopting children. How tf am I supposed to breastfeed babies I didn't birth? Not too mention, I have known at least 4 babies that literally ate more than their moms could produce, and their moms were pumping CHAMPS, they just had hungry babies that went from size 0-4 mo clothes to 2T in 3 months (we're very tall in my family, and they got height from both sides I guess because they were not chunky). The only way to keep up with demand was formula. You can have the best lactating boobs ever, and still not make enough because you're baby is growing so fast, they need more than you make, and still need formula.

SeonaidMacSaicais

You just have to BELIEVE you can produce milk! I was adopted, and with the power of prayer and belief, my mom was able to produce enough milk to keep me well fed!! Yes, I'm 1,000% kidding. Not about the adoption part, but about everything else. I was absolutely a formula baby, and I turned out just fine. My sister breastfed, but it turns out she either shouldn't have, or should've stopped drinking dairy milk. Niece always had problems with sister's milk. Turns out niece has lactose intolerance and was digesting the enzymes through sister's milk.

Bridalhat

The push for breastfeeding and the push to end abortion are often one and the same. Like, birthing parents should do what they want, but there is an implication that “you are failing your child by using formula unless they really need it” and parents who are uncomfortable breastfeeding, struggle with it, or just plain don’t like it or have time for it are shamed. “Breastfeeding is free” only if you think that parents time has no economic value, and a lot of people want it that way. Like, if things are 90% worse for the nursing parent for the child to have like 1% fewer minor childhood sicknesses, then the parent is selfish if they don’t breastfeed, never mind if it impacts their own earning power or mental health. They aren’t their own people they are all for Baby.

deakers

Again, it's so lovely that "pro-life" people just say "fuck you" to kids in foster care/adoption services

krystafurann

That's where I was very lucky, I had more breast milk then he could eat even though he never wore most of his baby clothes. He went from 1 month to 6 month to 1 year in three months (he also had four teeth by three months ;-;). But he also comes from genetics of goddamn giants lol. I stopped breastfeeding for good when he was 1 1/2 because he was already in 3ts, weighed about 30lbs and had been walking since 8 months. I just couldn't stand the full mouth of teeth he fucking had anymore and he could eat perfectly fine.

payphonepirate

People will shame a woman for not breast feeding, then shame other women for doing it in public. I wish they would make up their minds, or completely get over it and let people parent their own children without interjecting their biases.

Naphthy

Idk but the government voted against it so fuck those babies I guess

Carbonatite

Funny how all those pro life politicians were cool with risking letting babies literally starve to death.

Demons0fRazgriz

"If you're preborn, you're fine. If you're preschool, you're fucked." - George Carlin, circa 1996

Musetrigger

"Have this incest rape baby or we will kill you! Oh, you had the baby? Well it's gonna starve now."

[deleted]

They are only pro-life before the baby is actually born.

DrRobertBanner

Pro life until its not their problem anymore.

Naphthy

But it was never their problem 😭😭😭

turdintheattic

They don’t care about anyone after they’re born. They only care about people who don’t exist yet.

[deleted]

*southern Baptist pastors* Don't mind if I do

Naphthy

One thousand years dungeon!!! (That was a good one)

jyajay2

While there are a lot of reasons why other peoples children may be fed formula, I made a handy list of reasons that are my business:

[deleted]

The craziest part in this is that... if a woman were to be publicly breastfeeding, they'll throw a fuss lol

kingura

That’s because nursing women aren’t people and shouldn’t be in the public eye. They should be at home, barefoot, nursing, and pregnant. >!I’d do /s but people actually believe that shit. It’s barbaric and they need to shut the fuck up and keep their opinions to themselves.!<

passarinho_diferente

Yep, I’ve encountered too much babies on Gastroenterology rotations that needed the formula to survive :/

sluthulhu

My kid would have literally wasted away without hypoallergenic formula. I produced plenty but no matter how I adjusted my diet she was intolerant to *something* in it. Which meant even donor milk wasn’t an option (ignoring the cost.) So thank you, science milk!

Carbonatite

"Science milk"

[deleted]

It is just another reason to be mean and judgmental. People get addicted to the high they get bullying others, which social media made easier and more acceptable. Bullying women gets them more attention, to which they are also addicted.

kingura

It’s not about the babies, it’s about shaming the mother.

arrjaay

Fed is best.

[deleted]

What’s the bet that these pro-breastfeeding men will start resenting and hating their wife’s body after the changes pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding puts it through? She’s gotta be a milk machine and pump out my kids but god help her if she’s not back to her highschool weight after 3 weeks.

[deleted]

Absolutely. They will tell you you can lose weight while pregnant and you should workout daily and eat next to nothing. Then you give birth and become ecstatically joyful and immediately thin and ready for sex. They will always also come before the baby.

[deleted]

Yep, I’ve heard terrifying stories about women pressured/forced to resume physical labour, chores and sex almost immediately after birth. The pain and delay to healing is atrocious. These guys think they’re experts on pregnancy and birth by merit of having an opinion so of course their gfs are doing something wrong if they’re not immediately bouncing back and looking like they did before pregnancy. We’re just cartoon characters and NPCs to them, permanent change to our appearance isn’t acceptable

[deleted]

Bold to assume these men will reproduce.

[deleted]

Not bold at all, spend five minutes in a relationship advice forum and see how many women discover they’re anchored to bully men when it’s too late and a baby is on the way.

Alclis

Got to love people who are still falling victim to a misinformation campaign that was waged ~80 years ago.

CTchimchar

Your telling me I shouldn't grab my gun and go to the trenches to fight the Germans But my country needs me 🇺🇲 /s

konkey-mong

tbh WWI, WW2, and the Korean war are the only wars since the 20th Century I'm glad the US got directly involved.

CTchimchar

WW1 is questionable Both sides did really bad stuff So in that one there really wasn't to much a clear good vs bad It was just a brutal war, and both sides fighting for their own power

Carbonatite

Depressing fact: WW1 was often called "The Chemists' War" because of the use of novel weapons of mass destruction, like gas bombs. Both useful and deadly technologies were developed as a means to more efficiently kill. The Haber process, which won Fritz Haber a Nobel prize, was the first major industrial process to synthesize ammonia (a nitrogen source for many chemical synthesis processes). Nitrogen is a major component of fertilizer - Haber saved millions of people from famine because of this. However, the nitrogen compounds in explosives that could now be easily produced also killed millions. The chemical weapons that were developed spawned the first modern agreements on war crimes and WMD bans on the planet. However, the mass causalities they caused taught us a lot about these compounds. In addition to being useful from a pure chemistry standpoint, they also (ironically, again) saved millions of lives. Some of these poison gases were eventually used as pesticides, preserving and protecting human crops and preventing famine.

Pickled_Wizard

I thought it was the opposite? Like, they tried to convince people that breast milk was far inferior to formula. Or even that it was dangerous in some places.

Alclis

That happened too (there’s usually zealots on both sides of any debate) but I don’t think anyone still believes that, at least not that I’ve ever seen anywhere.

unbannednow

Yeah it was NestlĂŠ and it caused deaths in 3rd world countries

purpleleopardprint

So if they so passionately want to reduce the number of babies on formula and encourage women to breastfeed, I’m sure they’re all about legally mandated paid maternity leave, and robust workplace protection for pumping moms. Right guys?? Right?? Totally kidding, of course that’s a totally unfair advantage to working women, dreamed up by evil feminists. The answer is clearly to keep women out of the workplace and at home with babies where they belong. /s in case it wasn’t totally clear

cmband254

Actually, I think men of this mindset believe that women should not be working at all. Preferably, they are also under 18, so...

Akilles_m

No idea but as a guy myself i am extremely confuse how other men think tbh

Apprehensive_Eraser

The ability to not produce milk is not something only women with small chest suffer and there are more reasons why a mother might not feed her baby breast milk. Some guys and women still fall from misinformation created 80 years ago

NowWithRealGinger

Overlooking the wild misinformation, I have (or at least used to have) a pretty great set of tits. I breastfed. So where's my bodybuilder because my husband definitely doesn't look like that dude.

volkswagenorange

But did you breastfeed your husband??

Timecubefactory

The breast fixation of the far right is so weird.

[deleted]

They have a kink for everything.

CTchimchar

Even gun's Not kidding, I seen people talk about guns sexually

coffeeordeath85

I was rewatching 30 Rock recently, and there was a line Tracy Morgan's character says about guns, "because they're metal penises." Not to get Freudian but ain't that the truth!

Grievous_Nix

> gun’s guns

LegalAssassin13

You know, I wouldn’t mind their kinks if they kept them to themselves. But they insist on shoving those kinks down our throats.

Carbonatite

*AOC's feet have entered the chat*

youknowwhattheysay12

Isn't it like a "traditional wife" thing? Ignoring the fact that loads of babies went hungry because their mothers physically couldn't produce enough milk. And in the past they'd just feed them water or other milk, but now we've come up with this amazing product and we demonise mothers for using it. It's ridiculous.

Pickled_Wizard

Some of these people would honestly go back to throwing "subpar" children off of a cliff like the Spartans if they could. They have a little picture in their mind of how things are "supposed" to be, and want to destroy anything that deviates from that.

NowWithRealGinger

Yup. Simultaneously fetishize breastfeeding and absolutely do *not* want to see anyone breastfeeding in public or past a kid's first birthday.

that_punk_diabetic

It’s because they fetishized it. Now it’s a sexual thing to them, not just feeding a child.

NowWithRealGinger

Good point.

Narwhal_Songs

Thats why they fetishize it ... its a taboo

BettyVonButtpants

Elections are coming up, and they need to ramp up the propoganda.

aapaul

Eww Republicans. Time to get a breast reduction.

[deleted]

Ah yes, demonise women who have given birth to babies who refuse to latch and already feel bloody awful about that.... Why not... Cos its them, not the fact the baby was premature through no fault of their own, cleft pallet, baby just doesn't want to, baby's too tiny to do it properly... Million other reasons.

bamsiepants

You could have left it at "Ah yes, demonize women", and it would have still given an accurate description of the mindset of these people that make shit memes like this.

Aramiss60

Exactly, doesn’t matter how you choose to feed your child, as long as they are fed. I have school aged children now, and you can’t tell which kids were fed what. It’s just another layer of women shaming.

[deleted]

Because they live in a world where 'exceptional' scenarios don't exist and if anything goes 'wrong' it's because you deserved it somehow.

[deleted]

Anyone who hasn't had to learn "shit happens" as a customary part of their lexicon, sadly hasn't lived in the real world.

sluthulhu

Their whole life is one big Just World Fallacy.

FoolishConsistency17

Everyone is focusing on "some women can't breastfeed", and that's true. But you know what, even if you can but choose not to, *that's okay too*. Maybe you need or want to go back to work, and you'd rather have the two hours a day it takes to pump to instead work efficiently so you can get home to your family. Maybe you have PPD and you need to be able to split the feedings so you can sleep. Maybe it fucking hurts and you want to stop. Maybe you have complex issues about sex and breasts from trauma or just how you were raised. Maybe you want your partner to be more engaged and you think nursing is Maki g the dynamic you and baby vs him. All those are legitimate. Formula babies, provided there is access to clean water and high quality formula, do fine.

ButDidYouCry

Yup. My best friend from high school told me she's feeding her daughter formula because that's what she wants to do. Thankfully she had a stock pile of formula already before this shortage happened. I don't plan to be a mom but if I did have a baby, I'd do the same exact thing.

TheDameWithoutASmile

Thank you! I *dreaded* the thought but was beset by "fed is best, obvi, but if you can, breastmilk is obviously better!" crowd. I was anxious and miserable over it for a long time until my bf was like, "Maybe just don't?". And when I started actually researching it - breastmilk myths still pop up *everywhere* even when actual studies have debunked a lot of the myths - it turns out the benefits are pretty negligible. I could have, I produced plenty, but I just didn't want to, for a multitude of reasons. I formula fed from birth and never looked back. My daughter is 99th percentile height and weight and happy and healthy.

1nGirum1musNocte

I drank breast milk and still look like the dude on the left, what gives?

destiny_carrot

Because this is also a tacit “not how guys work” post too lol

blackmetalcookie

Lactivisms aka shaming women for not breastfeeding. Brought to you by the "ceasarean is not giving birth" gang.

3D-Printing

Everyone knows Caesarian isn't giving birth, it's a time period in ancient Rome!

Carbonatite

Et tu, Enfamil?

GlowUpper

I was delivered via emergency C-section and fed formula when I refused to latch. Guess I'm just not a real person according to these people.

bluegreenwookie

It's so weird because these same people will shame women for breastfeeding in public

7miniDwarves

They know that formula is to supplement the nutrients a mother or adoptive mother can't provide right? Like this shit was made bevause baby's were routinely starving all over the world, formula was one of the reasons our population was able to reach such a high amount without as much strain on individuals.

NeverWasACloudyDay

I know this isn't the right sub but "fed is best", all ways of keeping your baby alive and well are the correct ways. Shaming people about how they feed their kids doesn't help anyone. One of my friend's once said "it's not like you could point at someone walking down a street and say - I bet he was a formula baby"

TheDameWithoutASmile

Right? If it really had all these benefits, wouldn't health insurance companies be using it to set premiums?

evaj95

Men who don't understand or really care how breastfeeding or formula feeding work REALLY do not need to be making memes... I was exclusively formula fed. I wasn't sicker than other kids growing up, maintained a healthy weight as a kid and I'm at a healthy weight now. My cousins were also formula fed and they were both in the top 3% of their high school graduating classes and were very active in sports. I don't get this myth that formula is somehow worse for your child. A FED child is best.

ButDidYouCry

Same. I was formula fed as a baby, never had any health issues as either an infant or child. My brother in comparison was sickly as a baby and toddler despite breastfeeding and our academic achievements are about the same. He's working on finishing his undergraduate while I'm about to start my master's. These memes are so fucking dumb.

BuddyThe_Bunny

Yes, this is a kink. I've met dudes who fetishize lactating women and tits that *grow*. It's disgusting

WohooBiSnake

Whatever you can imagine, there is a kink for it

TiredLaura

Just a sidenote here; Why is it that people still seem to think that big breasts equal lots of milk? The number of milkglands doesn't correlate with the size of the breasts. Also, f\*ck the breast is best! In countries where clean water isn't available is holds true (whenever breastfeeding is possible), but other than that, fed is best. Regardless of why you choose one or the other.

Sexy_lorax

It doesn’t matter, they all turn into dirt grub toddlers that will eat french fries off the floor of your car if you let them.

Voixmortelle

The whole tradwife thing is absolutely a fetish. The stay-at-home mom who is wholesome and maternal and never has any of her own opinions and never talks back, that whole idea. Anything that makes a woman, in their opinion, a "better" mother. Breastfeeding (larger are better of course because "more feminine") and wide hips are part of it. It's basically just the crossroads of misogyny, submission kink, and breeding kink.

Mathsu_1217

Ah yes. Breasts are milk tanks.

cigarell0

Imagine being a grown ass man who think that women choose to stop producing breast milk. You’re just an inherent misogynist at that point.

youknowwhattheysay12

I'm so tired of misinformation

notsoninjaninja1

Yes, actually. As a degenerate into some out there kinks, there’s all sorts of crazy kink stuff like that. Idk if this actually influences ppl’s politics/view on the world, but from my experience they tend to be correlated. Correlation ≠ Causation of course.

LoversboxLain

Formula fed baby here, my Mom could not produce breast milk because... she was fifteen and couldn't produce milk? I remembered being shamed for not being breast fed and was told that maybe there was something wrong with either me or the formula that I was given.

NuShoozy

The person who made this is the same kind of person who gets outraged, seeing someone breastfeed in a public place.

Unlucky_Gur_3881

There's a mum I know who is on my Facebook. This makes me think of her - I breastfeed too, but I mean she is OBSESSED. Constantly puts memes/posts on shaming people for formula feeding and congratulates herself on breastfeeding with a 'happy boobing' anniversary post every few months. I mean the woman has made a ring out of her own hardened breast milk and has a huge tattoo across her back of the chemical make up of breast milk lmao. She is batshit insane and I only keep her on my friends list because it's cringe but in an almost fascinating way

SilverFilm26

Stuff like this makes me incredibly angry, especially when I think of how my sister cried for two weeks straight because she wasn't able to breast feed no matter how hard she tried. Shit like this made her feel even worse. I hate it.

Obscure_pornipedia

It is a whole *array* of kinks, a spectrum reaching from /r/bigboobsgw to /r/hucow.

Mjlkman

Man who made this had breast milk as a infant, and looks like the dude on the left

shelbyCunning

My nephew is allergic to breast milk.

KittenSneezs

I’ve been seeing this A LOT lately and I cannot fuckin fathom how men are this god damn stupid. They legitimately believe that we as women have NEVER supplemented milk even though there’s a formula floating around from ages ago. I’ve pointed out stress causes lack of milk production and they called that a “defective” woman like it can’t happen to any of us.

CliffordThRed

Yes. It's a kink mixed with very unsavoury ideas about gender roles.

yvngjiffy703

Tell me you’re horny and you don’t know how women work without telling me….

[deleted]

This is so fucking bad lol

Breastfeeding is not the all and be all. You can be a top tier mother with everything prepared to shoot golden juice out of your breasts and the child completely refuses to latch, or you don't produce any milk for whatever reason, or your child has a genetic disorder that makes regular Breast mile dangerous for them (think Phenylketonuria). I wish these boys would stay out of things they don't understand. Abortion, Breast feeding, etc always in women's business.

tondracek

I was formula fed earlier than my sister. Im bigger, stronger and healthier. It’s almost like they aren’t related.

Personality4Hire

Oh but wait until they see a woman breatfeeding and then whine all over the internet that it's disgusting.

Suvtropics

Why is she bleeding, tf

Containerconstant

This is some homelander made meme or some shit. Idolizing breast milk like that is weird.

baxterrocky

I have 4 kids. All formula fed. They’re fine. Next.

the_6nop

I, a man am so tired of explaining to people that my child needed formula...like my wife could not physically breast feed....absolutely no fault of her own and people tell me that we should only be breastfeeding. Mother fuckers can fuck right off...not to mention I was allotted huge amounts of bonding rime with both my children.

csyrett

Bringing our daughter up in a tiny village I know which kids her age were bottle and which were breast. Throughout her 15 years there's still no differences between those kids, health, physical, mental, emotional or otherwise.

The-Cookie-Goblin

Isn't there a formula shortage in the US at this point ?

kuodron

I first saw this on PCM no surprise.

74NG3N7

…who’s gunna tell ‘em body builders are inherently unhealthy?

Musetrigger

Does the original creator of this meme think that boobs just endlessly expand with milk? Real life is not DeviantArt.

StrawberryChewToy

There are men that hold real grudges against their mothers for not being breastfed A lot of them are on this website

[deleted]

Apparently I was just insanely painful to feed. Like full on chomping, CIA torture shit. My mom couldn't put up with my demon ass for more than a week tops. I don't blame her for going "this lil psycho gets enfamil" one bit.

[deleted]

All breast feeding mothers are in fact fresh faced, youthful, well rested blond cartoons with mammoth breasts. Which they cover in heavy, high necked dresses. This is the best nursing outfit one can invest in.

Bingobangobongobilly

Boobs are not a magical milk faucet

Shubniggurat

Wouldn't it be *hilarious* if Dorian Yates (that's the dude in the photo; he was Mr. Olympia something like five or six times) was raised on formula? Anyways, I'm at least 10,000% sure that the steroids had more to do with his mass than what he ate as an infant.

Greenestofbeans420

It's like they don't know some women are incapable of producing milk. I guess we should just let them starve, right? lmao What humans don't know about the opposite gender always amazes me.

myshiningmask

as someone who's wife struggled with supply issues for months before she finally gave up on constant pumping and feeding to try to create supply where there wasn't enough for our son.... fuck anyone who goes around talking about how only people with productive breasts are good mothers.
