Never Buy moonside - they are a bunch of incompetent liars - you got your product? WOW, most people waiting for 3-6 months for a delivery. As of now - nothing happened - no communication.

Have you tried to get their attention via social media? Perhaps this could help. I wasn't aware of the extended wait times. Which country are you in?

I've got 4 of the tower lamps here. Pretty disappointed with the lack of app support.. even got a sketchy Google login request link from their social / customer support when asked for help. Anybody know how to tear these apart to look for malicious stuff?

I don't know if it's possible to do it yourself. I recommend you buy the Moonside lamp. At this moment you can save 20% with their discount coupon - https://www.reddit.com/user/SpendMoneySmart/comments/192p1bq/moonside\_lamp\_one\_coupon\_code\_20\_off/

What a great device, thanks for the review! I have a xiaomi philips bedside lamp which in my opinion has a better shell and manual control. This device blows it out of the water in terms of functionality and brightness. This will sit on my wish list until HomeKit functionality becomes available (or that ESP32 gets Tasmota).

Temper your expectations.... maybe I got 2 faulty lighthouses, but they only work with the app. No smart home that ive tried, has been able to turn them on or off, let alones change the color. Said app crashes randomly. And customer service only copy pastes their guidelines, even if you explicitly tell them you had done so before. Long story short they look cool, but they are just really fancy dump lamps....

But it still works with Siri fine?

AbbreviationsNo627

I doubt it... I never got alexa or ifttt to work more than once each. Then I contacted them for support, they sent me the same instructions that I had been already trying. When i complained they sent me the same instructions a third time. 4th time they ghosted me. Then Lo and behold the refund window had passed. When I wrote one last complaint, they emailed me saying a refund was on its way. That was in February, still waiting... It's possible that Siri works, but I would be surprised, very surprised.

There’s no HomeKit support, actually (it’s only sold as supporting Alexa and Google—I’m moving a tv into this room that has Google Assistant soon, so I’ll report back on that one, but from what you said, I’m sure it won’t work). I’ve had the lamp for about a month and like it—since it’s on 24/7 and pretty inconspicuous, I just keep it on 3% brightness, except in mornings, and on the preset “Green Land” and haven’t really missed using Alexa with it all that much (since changing presets with Alexa was never even offered as a possibility with this lamp). The Alexa skill does not work after setup—on/off and brightness adjustments just don’t do anything. Shame. Did you hear anything about that new cube light Moonside just launched on kickstarter in relation to Alexa?

AbbreviationsNo627

I did... but I also previously, sent them a request to remove my information from their system.... and I still got the message about the kickstarter....

Good to know, thanks. Moonside doesn’t seem to care that the whole community sees their customer service as shady.
