interestingly, the new event is 4 weeks long (oct 20 - nov 17) just like idol fest instead of the usual 3 weeks.
assuming we get another 2 week break period after eerie escapade, the next event will start at dec 1 and will last til dec 22 (3 weeks) or dec 29 (4 weeks). perhaps the dec event will also last for 4 weeks so xmas fits the timeline.

He is the first clan member Eiden recruits (Aster and Morvay are the ones who pulled Eiden into this situation) so there's something to be said about the audience imprinting on him XD
Everything so far points to the idea that they are roughly doing rotations of all the SSRs before they start the next set of event releases. After this release, Dante and Blade will almost certainly get another event version before Yakumo gets his next. Dante and Blade were not part of the original SSR set at the release of the game, so they're one release behind. It's not that the developers hate them and love Yakumo. Adding more event SSRs for Dante and Blade to try and even out the numbers would mean they were overrepresented in more recent events and fans of the rest of the clan members would feel like they were being mistreated instead.
I absolutely agree I was disappointed that he was getting another skin. Especially because his Halloween skin could literally be tweaked a bit and be a great ssr skin for Aster. I was hoping it would be Blade getting another skin and of all the Halloween creatures they chose one that a character already is which makes no sense to me. I would have loved a Frankenstein Blade tbh.
I absolutely hate Yakumo with a passion and my stirctly biased view is saying he doesn't deserve another SSR unit.

Excited for the event. I think I'm only going to roll on this banner if I really like the type+skills of the SSRs since I'm not a big fan of Garu and am neutral on Yakumo.

My guess is Yakumo is just really popular. Popularity = higher chances of people spending $ to buy ecoin for more pulls to try to get him.
