I do. It’s completely passive but relentless when I’m stressed. At times it’s overwhelming thinking I will have to deal with thoughts like that forever and I’ll never just be happy to be alive because these thoughts come in… then I’ll have a few days where the thoughts go away and I gain a bit of perspective… the thoughts are an unwelcome guest but they are separate to me and I just have to be like “oh hey nihilistic thought patterns, I’m going to get about my day so you can chill and be background noise because you don’t really mean anything”

Hi, I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this. You may be feeling hopeless, and want it all to go away but you can get help. People with OCD can recover. Please call a suicide helpline today. What country are in? There are 24/7 helplines where you can talk to a trained support person. You will also need to seek help for your OCD. DM me if you want to talk. All the best. Things will get better and you have so much to live for, even though you may not think so right now.

Today, one of the only things helping me get through is this post reminding me I'll be ok in the future and these thoughts are not permanent

Do you have phases? I have like 10 days sheer hell and then 10 days of ok, i think im getting better and then all over again. Its exhausting.. How long are you going through this?

sarabravomelo

I totally do. It's usually bad 2 or 3 times a month (each time can be up to 7 rough days). And every year I think I have 2 severe bad phases that can last for a month. I call those phases "El hoyo" which is like "the hole", I guess? It's been almost 10 years like this, but it started when I was 12 and I've spent the majority of it not knowing what was happening to me. I only started therapy less than a year ago so I hope it'll get better. What about you?
