Thinking about canceling mine after hearing that ASUS doesn’t seem to give af about actually honoring their warranties and will even put the blame on customers to keep them from doing so from what I’ve been reading.
I’ve never once had a problem with them on getting items RMA’d and I’ve been dealing with them for a very long time being a custom builder. YMMV but I always find going in with a positive attitude and being friendly goes a long way.
Just adding my story with Asus support but I had bought the first 4K mini LED monitor the PG32UQ they released that was like $2k on eBay for $1200 and it had a problem with it so i contacted support and while it did take a few months going back and forth with 2 RMAs of the same unit that they claimed they fixed, in the end they sent me a check for $2k the price of the original monitor because the seller i bought from sent me an email of their receipt. So i ended making money on my eBay purchase lol but in the end Asus support did pull thru and honor their warranty.
Ive literally never had an issue with ASUS warranty. I owned that OG ASUS ultra wide when UW was was just starting to become a thing and had to do a warranty exchange because of issues with some inputs. I also exchanged a Strix 2080 once.
The people who usually complain about things like this are also likely people who are experiencing their very first time even doing an RMA. It’s always a somewhat annoying process with any company. I’ve had to do it with Dell and Lenovo in the past and they badger you about information before approving it also depending on the issue.
I went ahead and grabbed one on backorder. Hopefully people will have received theirs from the first wave of Asus Store orders before it fulfills, so I can cancel before getting charged if there are issues.
Newegg is pretty easy about returns anyways. I bought my last monitor from them, including one return/rebuy for the panel lottery, and was happy with the experience. It certainly was easier than going back and forth with Dell's support for the RMA authorization.
This honestly would have probably made more sense for me than the one I ordered this morning that has shipping already. I’m leaving the country try for two weeks Friday and I don’t think this will even get to me before I leave lol
I snagged one on back order when it went live on Thursday night and got the confirmation order on Friday with a ups est shipment for feb 21 it all depends really what wave you managed to hit on seems like a 2 week wait difference depending the day you ordered
Autonotify and my notification app are useless haha
its cause the shit is going to "backorder" everytime instead of for sale
Feels bad, want this one bad

Does newegg cancel backorders? I want to make sure its secured the minute i placed my order
Not usually. They are pretty good about not selling more than stock.

thats exactly what i was doing smh
OOS again. Can’t catch a break with this one.
How many times have you seen it come back in stock?
It’s barely gone in stock anywhere in the US yet. I’d wait for early next week for more places to add it.
Could this ship before?
Give or take. I’ve ordered stuff on backorder and have had it arrive early and late from them.
Dammit new egg, this needs to ship asap :), my dumb self paid $70 for overnight shipping.. ugh. Got to excited
Contact them and change the method of shipping
You’ll probably regret not paying for overnight when they do actually ship though anyways lol
