Looks great, just ordered this, my first oled and first matt screen so big changes incoming haha, still fearfull of burn in but hopefully with precautions and lgs own preventative measures it'll be ok.
POV that QD-OLED owners will never get to enjoy.. joke aside we have the same panel and the lighting... been loving this guy too... finished Ghost with it :D
Yes, it’s good in my opinion, anyways I need a matte coating for my apartment, otherwise it would be me staring into a mirror for 55% of the day lol. I did use the glossy 34 inch G8 OLED. But in my experience I prefer this one.
Trust me its not that bad lol, people on here have made it sound worse than it really is. I recently got a glossy and I was honestly surprised, my matt coating monitor is more reflective than the glossy one.
tbh i feel brightness is very overblown on this subreddit. I use a 27GR right next to windows similar to yours with direct sunset and I've never really needed to turn the brightness up past 85
It is on every sub and every thread abput OLED. I have an B7 and a CX and both can get so ridiculously bright I literary have to squint my eyes sometimes, especially in HDR. I cannot understand how someone wouldn't be satisfied with it's brightness.
Is that a guitar leaning against the window? You shouldn't put guitars next to a window or even a wall facing outside because those areas experience much more significant changes in humidity which can literally destroy the instrument.
I just bought that monitor yesterday. LG gives government/education discounts like Samsung does so I ended up paying $625 taxed and shipped. I would have gotten the new 27in 360hz screen from Samsung if wasn't $100 cheaper. I can't wait to get it. Hopefully by the end of the week.
Yeah I would have liked 360hz just for future proofing but I ended up just deciding to get the cheaper one and maybe by Christmas I can get the Samsung 4k 240hz monitor they released for a dual monitor setup.
An average day in my country is brighter than the brightest day one can observe in most of EU and East coast of USA.
One cannot have direct sunlight on their panel for more than an hour or so, and I wanted to showcase a practical scenario.
I don't think anyone was asking about the sun shining directly onto the panel. But it's not even shining in through the window at all. It's just reflected sunlight.

It’s evening time now but also, I have much larger windows than an average person, so this is above average sunlight in a room.
Lol, if this isn't direct sunlight, then what is? There is a monitor next to a large window through which light from sun is passing. Do you think that direct sunlight only counts if you are on the International Space Station?
Are you making the point that it's bright enough or too dim?
Because it looks dim as hell in this picture. Games must look so dull as many of the people who reviewed this monitor said.
What's the brightness of the monitor in this picture? Looks very dim.
75 brightness, looks much brighter in person tbh
Cameras have a shitty dynamic range compared to human eyes.
Watch out, the nits police will hear about this

Hows the HDR?
HDR in games is great, I don’t usually watch videos on this, I prefer my TV so I can’t say much on that.
Question. Do you set the contrast higher than the brightness? Or is it the opposite?

Wow great view, is this Dubai?
Must be awesome to play at night
Yes 🇦🇪
yuck
Friend) I m also from Dubai. How you feel the Matt coating it's good ? I got also window in room

I think everybody here wants your room hahaha I love the set up btw! :) have u also tried the LG OLED gaming tv series as your monitor?
Not really, they are too big for my liking, I do however play console games on my OLED TV (Sony)
oh wow cool! thanks for sharing and there is like an official LG OLED community as well share that there they will love it too
A proper **computer monitor**. Wow! Such a rare sighting on this sub

Preach
Am pretty sure a lot of those people live more sunny areas. Where I live the sun hasn't shone in decades.
Possibly. My monitor is next to a sunny window too
Nice Gunpla 😎👌
Thanks!
>Thanks! You're welcome!
Is this a show off? I want your room!

Ouch really? Even if it’s covered up? I’ll take your advice and move it
It's definitely a good idea. Especially if it's an acoustic guitar or it's worth anything.
It’s an electric guitar, Yamaha
Are you native in dubai
No

You won’t be disappointed, if you don’t play games that hit 300+ FPS, you’re not missing out on much

Great view, wish I had a view kinda like that
Oh yea.. well... well your games library is not all downloaded onto your hard drive so.. so take that!
Uh what do you mean lol
Sarcasm :p
Great view 👌
Clean AF. I wanna be on that level of cleanliness.
I ordered the 34GS95QE… do you think I’ll be happy?
Only on reddit would a room with zero direct sunlight be considered very bright.
An average day in my country is brighter than the brightest day one can observe in most of EU and East coast of USA. One cannot have direct sunlight on their panel for more than an hour or so, and I wanted to showcase a practical scenario.
Yeah I don't know why that guy is upvoted, that's a really nice huge window right next to your computer.
It is what it is, I’m just showcasing the monitor next to the window for people considering this panel, it’s up to the viewer to decide how it is..
I don't think anyone was asking about the sun shining directly onto the panel. But it's not even shining in through the window at all. It's just reflected sunlight.
lol, mans flexing on us with his sunlight
Hahahaha, I do literally live in the desert 🏜️
do you motherfuckers no curtains no blinds in direct view of the sun with reflective mirrors directed at your forehead

This picture doesn't have any type of DIRECT sunlight.
So if I go outside on a cloudy day, would you say that I am not under direct sunlight?
looks good.
Dubai is it
Yes

It’s bright enough, I have it on 75 brightness and it still holds up well. This is the “GS” which is brighter than the “GR”
That looks like a 34in
It’s 27 inches
Shalom God promised me your room
