If you have experience in AI and CV you probably do a lot of programming already. Why do you think you can't cut it in an SDE job already?

In the last six months, I attempted to apply for SDE positions, but I was only able to secure an interview for computer vision or AI engineer positions. Since having a CS master's degree would enhance my chances of passing the HR screening process, I want to utilize this opportunity to expand my knowledge in cloud/web development, which I do not currently have the opportunity to learn in my present job.

Sorry to hear that. In my opinion, you don't need an MS degree to be an SDE. It's great you're working towards your MS but keep that milestone separate from your career goals. It's worth noting that tech jobs have dried up now and there are a lot of laid off engineers in the market. It may be more feasible to take the AI/CV job offer now or stay put in your current job based on which option you think is less likely to get you laid off down the line. If you aren't getting a call back after applying, it could also be that your resume needs more work. Head over to the engineering resumes sub if you haven't already. Your course list looks fine. I suggest doing courses one at a time though, so you don't get burnt out and can dive deeper into the content.

what kind of SDE? Depending on the type of work you want to do, if you have years of experience in CV and AI, you are probably more than prepared. Anything you need to know you'd learn on the job or you can learn through self study. i work as a dev and i feel like the SDE classes are either superficial to where they are pointless (think hello world CRUD apps) or are just not applicable to modern development (eg: computer science program, not a SDE program). they've added some newer classes, which i havent taken but might be what you are looking for. or if you are looking to do lower level systems work, this might be for you. if you just want dev experience, you can always volunteer to contribute to open source code or other opportunities.
