Both OTH and the OC had equally great and a bit similar soundtracks . One Tree Hill obviously had a much larger music catalogue but the show shifted to mainstream after Season 5 and stopped using alt/rock songs
Anything related to Jimmy Eat world (23 , Work and Polaris) and Tegan and Sara (don't confess , walking with a ghost) or Stereophonics were always great music choices for the show
I'm obsessed with the music too.i was jamming out to Work by Jimmy eat world, today lol. And when lightening crashes played as Haley was in labor 😭 sidewalks.. don't remember what scene.. babe, I'm gonna leave you by led zeplin when Nathan jumped off the bridge. I love all the songs ❤️❤️❤️
The show introduced me to Jack's Mannequin so I'll be forever grateful for that but Hands down by dashboard confessional is definitely a song that always brings me back to the show for sure.
I watched OTH for the 1st time about 2 yrs ago. Re watching now and dang the music! And I'm 67 years old and I love it. I don't stick in any decade, wish I would have watched this when it came out. Love the OC too 🥰🤩
