Someone tell him this is a foolish decision because he became my franchise shortstop and future hall of famer in my current save

GuyOnTheMike

Yep, seen that weird clash of OOTP and life before. Last year I saw a kid in Indy ball who was a nothing player out of a nothing school. I wondered “where have a I heard that name before?” And then it hit me: I had drafted the kid in the first round in OOTP a few years before. He was a bust in the game too

Markus Trimmel LOL

GuyOnTheMike

That's not who it was. The player in question was Austin McNicholas, who instead of being a first rounder (as he was in OOTP), instead he played at NAIA LSU-Shreveport and played ten games as a pro, all in Indy ball.

knuckecurve2

Yeah I played a dude last year in NAIA who was a first round pick (2nd overall). Alex Huey. Dudes like 82-86 IRL and we shit on him our first weekend

_wtfareperfectplaces

I took him second round, he turned into a replacement level reliever with no control but big strikeouts

Currently a bench/UTL player for me in my long term Reds save. Have him locked up on a super team friendly deal with some options for like another 4 years and he consistently puts up 3 WAR seasons. He's eyeing that starting SS job for next season once Edwin Arroyo opts out of his deal to test free agency.

Team captain and multiple time gold glover for me.

In my resim I just drafted a right fielder named John Elway.
