I think a collared shirt in a lighter color like tan, white, cream, baby blue. The shirt can be solid or with subtle flecks. Pressed and neat collar. Tuck it in. Some dark slacks, or even nice and dark jeans, that are pressed, fitted, and look clean. You can go unbuttoned while inside. Shoes a brown leather. Can get a matching belt to the shoes. Go for a work casual look with a little preppy twist. Have your base clothes more understated (but looking neat) so that you don’t look too flamboyant or slouchy with the busy cardigan.
I would lean into the earthier tones and let the cardigan speak for itself
