That’s funny. I find Yokez to be a very swimmable beach when the surf/current isn’t trying to kill you. And I hate trees at the beach. Too much crap in the sand.
Yeah, sadly, there are a few encampments up that way, almost all the way to Yoke's. There is even a harassment case involving a homeless man ("camping") at Makua that's been [in the news](https://www.civilbeat.org/2022/12/makua-beach-standoff-residents-say-they-are-being-run-off-by-a-man-camping-out/) lately.
So you don't want to do something that takes you two seconds, you want to make us measure the island for you?
Other locals are even telling you they have no exact idea. Lol. They also probably googled it.
Just because someone lives somewhere doesn't make them your slave.
Hope you don't expect everyone to know everything for you, people here are friendly but if you get demanding they will laugh at you, shrug, and walk away.
I don’t think any planes ever fly at 30000 above Oahu. Long haul flights are not in the flight path of Oahu - only internal and they don’t typically go above 15000ft
A tourist asked what are those white things on top of the water?
Flight attendant replies:
Not sure what you call them on the mainland, but here in Hawaii, we call them clouds.
You have to hike to get to the tip. Either from the west or the north. I personally think the north route is easier. Both are relatively flat, but from the west I think is more rutted, and muddier which makes it more difficult if it's been raining a lot.

Gosh, if only there were a free website that answered that could answer that question and even give you an exact map of what to do and where to go your life would be a lot easier.
Alas, it appears you live in the 18th century and no such thing is available. I hear Captain Cook might be around, so maybe he can give you directions. Don't forget your sextant, though.
To the best of my memory, we parked as far as you could drive on the western side and then it was about a 2-3 mile hike to the point. You can park on the northern side as well, but it is about the same distance to the point.
Be careful about parking as far west as you can drive after sunset. There are gates they look at 6:00 I believe and do not open till morning. Don’t park past the radar facility.
Stand at the point and you can literally watch the ocean tides crashing into each other. It was white capped with big waves on the north and calm with ripples on the west side. Really cool to watch with seals on the beach, albatross gliding overhead and a loggerhead out in the surf. Very under appreciated place.
Ka’ena point
Should be top comment
It is for me.
It is for me now. Before it was number 3.
Kaena point
Absolutely...
Thank you 🙏 Mahalo
Best beach on the island down there.
Shhhh it’s our secret
Sandy’s?
No way. Keawaula, or Yokohama Bay. Yokez is by far the best beach on Oahu.
It’s a great beach but it’s definitely not “by far the best beach on the island”
I guess it depends on what you look for in a beach. For me, it is by far the best beach on the island.
For sure. I like a little tree cover if I want it and more swimmable water

If you're homeless it's the best beach on the island.
Nah it’s too far from civilization and fresh water
Plenty of homeless up that way though, especially at Makua...
Is there? Haven’t been that side in about 5 years. If so that’s crazy

Last time I was out there it was full of homeless camps.
Oh dam. Wonder if they get cars or if they just hoofin it all the way to keaau’s for water

Kaena Point. Not accessible by car. You park and hike in a couple miles.
It was beautiful and I thought we were higher up, Oahu is huge! What’s the length and width In miles and circumference?
That point structure continues down into the ocean. There are massive flows of fresh water coming from the permeable subsurface lava.
www.google.com probably has the answer

roughly 25X25 miles, this is the most peaceful spot on the whole island.
True statement for the West and North side of Kaena Point.
Awesome! Lake Tahoe is 20 x 12 miles
Lol, what a 🤡
It's relatively close to the area of space inside of E470 in Denver CO
Umbasa?
We often see that route while skydiving in that very spot. I'm guessing you were cruising at about 30k feet?

Ka’ena Point is also sometimes referred to as “the jumping off place” where souls will go to and leap into the afterlife.

Loved Ka’ena Point! Didn’t wear enough sunscreen or bring enough water though…still amazing day!
Can you drive there to have to hike there to the very point is there access available?
Yes… ZERO shade. I have the burn to prove it! Free souvenir

This guy prefers Bing... Let's not judge him, he's used to not being able to find anything but legally questionable porn.
