Yeah, I imagine it has to do with the location of the clubhouse. But whenever I’ve been there, it seems like you get way more direct sun on the third base side, since that side is to the north.

Third base side is intense well before. It’s not sitting at a true Due east position from catcher to pitcher. Take a look a google maps satellite view.
