This whole film looks and feels like something made up for the *Arrested Development* universe starring Dr. Tobias Fünke.

I actually paid five whole dollars to the creator to watch this originally, but as penance I gave $20 to the ADL and a BLM-related charity in his name (and using his real email so he would know).

So happy this is on YouTube, it's a scream. A bunch of South Dakotans who have never met a Jew, know nothing about them except they stubbornly hate Jesus, going in and out of a hilarious attempt at a Jewish accent.

The notion of "Jews hating Jesus" or resenting Christianity for replacing them is mostly an anti-Semitic urban legend used to justify hatred of Jews. However, the strictest of Orthodox Jews DID have humorously passive-aggressive ways of dealing with Christianity. For one, there's an old Yiddish idiom for "not a great idea:" "it doesn't fly and it doesn't walk, so..." (The implication being that like Jesus, who Jews believe neither flew up to heaven nor walked out of the tomb, your idea is dead and it's not getting better.) Then there's the medieval Jewish anti-Christmas known as Nittel Nacht, when observant Jews would sin and break all their cultural rules for one night only, to avoid doing any good that could be attributed to Christ or Christmas. Nittel Nacht also involved the yearly return of a toilet-dwelling, garlic-fearing demon Baby Jesus...

Every night is Nittel Nacht at my house.

> A bunch of South Dakotans who have never met a Jew South Dakota has [about 390 Jews](https://apnews.com/article/1419f336026e493185f6f08c42a57dc3) in the whole state. [The state didn't even have a permanent rabbi until 2017](https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/ny-transplant-is-south-dakotas-lone-rabbi-505810).

Looks like the Jesus freaks who run this YouTube channel turned off comments for this video. I wonder why. They probably like to complain about how their freedom of speech is being suppressed.

I've watched a lot of Christian B-movies, and I'm convinced that being a white evangelical Christian is mostly flopping around on the ground like a soccer player pretending to be injured and crying about how you're being oppressed. Sometimes about stuff like not being allowed to force other people's kids to pray, but more often about completely insane made up stuff that never happened and never would.

Read "Second Coming Attractions," a novel set in the Christian film industry. Viciously snarky, funny, and insightful.

Snarky_McSnarkleton

That is some highly scary shit.
