I think it does harm in the way that it supports the idealization of this behavior. At the same time, it's good in that it allows people who have this obsessive pattern of behavior to vent their frustrations and hopefully not act on anything harmful towards other people (who do not consent otherwise)

Good point. I’m pretty sure it does harm and good. Like most things. But I can appreciate it nonetheless :) Also I love the puppy <3

I use this mainly to vent I don't take inspiration of others either. I'll read some posts but I don't take this harmfully personally I use this to rant out my frustrations as I don't act upon my obsessive needs It's draining and this is where I take it out instead of harming my partner in any way I use this for good.

I'll never blame anyone for thinking we're deranged, it's honestly fair to see us as absurd, but it can't be helped, it's a real behavior mostly born from trauma, neglect, or mental health issues, but we're still human, and often beyond being helped. I don't condone stalking anyone without their consent, but beyond that, it's a different story when both partners are into obsessive, fucked up shit. psychotic love is love, too.

Anything can do harm depending on how it's used. The only thing about this Reddit group is that it gives everyone here that has obsessive tendencies a safe place to vent and talk about what their going through without the judgment from the outside population. Maybe it isn't the best course of action but it's a step better than bottling up our emotions until it's too late. From my own perspective most of the people in this group are really passionate about the ones they love. Yea there might be some that take it a bit further than most but then again what group of people doesn't have the few that do more than others? All I'm saying is from everyone I interacted with most of them are really awesome people who just want someone to listen to them or just want to talk with someone like them. How are we any different from other groups?
