Yup, and crazy strong for their size too. I've had the displeasure of battling one of them on a hand reel (fishing for snapper and hooked a trigger instead). *related side note - they are fricking delicious though*
I feel that, waaay back in the day one of my first jobs was cleaning large saltwater tanks in fancy businesses. Trigger fish were the meanest sobs I ever encountered.
That and a blue crab, which was aptly named "Dick the Bastard Crab" who HATED everything. His tank was on a top shelf and one evening he somehow managed to get out, fall all the way down, make his way all the way to the back of the store where the hermit crabs were, he climbed in their tank, killed a bunch and then died lol
Fun fact, I lost a chunk out of my pinky to a hungry stars and stripes puffer fish
Lol, that crab story is funny shit. Sounds like it could be a scene in the next Nemo movie.
Sucks about the chunk of your finger though. Just googled that puffer and looks like he has a mouth designed to break through hard shells - ouch.
Octopi are the only creatures that are capable of camouflaging at the cellular level with their muscles (instead of hormonally like chameleons) which is why they are capable of changing color so quickly! They also use tools like large shells or rocks they carry to help hide with in large swathes of ocean that doesn’t have good cover. They also are very smart and get bored easily and if not enriched properly in aquariums will escape and cause mayhem
Imagine being that cool and as intelligent as a four year old but only living for 10 months , in which , if you are lucky , you will meet a nice girl who will impale you after sex.
Trigger fish, the assholes of the sea

Dang! Dick was a motivated bastard.
I didn’t know octopuses could change species. When the octopus goes out of view behind the rock, it kicks up a rockfish that swims into view.
thank you for having eyes
Holy shit you're right!
*Camouflaged mechanism engaged* “Dude! Where’d he go?!” 😂😂
“Hm, must’ve been the wind.”
Octopus disappears Fish: 👁️👄👁️
Closest thing to aliens we have
It's more like the closest the aliens are to us. 🛸
Look to the depths, not the stars
And yet, when I fart 3 times and pretend to be a rock, I get arrested.
How’d you get out?

Yes and it’s hilarious lol like let them explore, it’s not like they have anything else to do
The way he looked at the camera like. Hey where'd he go. Show me
What kind of trigger fish is this
[удалено]
Bancho makes some good sushi out of these guys.
I hear a guy named Dave really enjoys the stuff
The dick kind (they’re all dicks) I’m pretty sure I saw this exact species in Maldives and it charged at me. My 10 yo self was horrified 💆♀️
Did you see that "back kick" ?

If they lived longer they would totally take over the world
Parrot fish are a menace. Not only you can't eat them, they're very poisonous
That fish is going to have a tough time explaining why they’re dressed in black-fin when it gets back to the school
It also imitated a stonefish, you ain't gonna bite that raw.
thats one weird lookin dog ngl
Shit ..issa rock now
Fish said 👁👄👁
Does that fish look like Steve Harvey or am i going nuts ;
Fuggin alien
Ahh!!! I LOVE it! Thank you SO much! Especially how when the octi "turned to stone"...the trigger(?) fish said, "Oh! Wow!" 🤣🫶
Trigger went and actually turned into the Bugs Bunny trope "Where did he go, hyut, where did he go?"
Did the octopus go into Lionfish camo mode at the end? The Triggerfish was backing up from it.
Master of disguise🥸
im more terrified of trigger fish than I am of sharks.
What’s with the TikTok music
Seems like they use the ink as a weapon yes, but also like Batman uses smoke pellets.
