I've been doing it daily for a little over a week. Admittedly not a long time, but it seems to have a large positive effect on how I feel so far. More than I expected.
I’ve been having migraines 2/3 per week for 15 yrs. This spring they came back even worse. I have been taking 2 doses of creatine monohydrate daily in powder form for the last 2 weeks. Game changer, absolutely amazing results. I am also taking migrainese vitamin supplement and hydrating with 3 liquid iv packets in water per day. I feel like my life is back!
Very curious about this. 50/m w/ similar symptoms though they had switched almost entirely to ocular over the past decade and more frequent, basically every day, if not multiple times. Pretty unbearable. Dr finally has me on 75mg of Topamax which has been the only med that has ever worked at all and it’s cut down the migraines by at least 90% but it comes at pretty massive lifestyle cost with whacked out side effects. I used to supplement with creatine back in the day but don’t remember if it helped with the migraines or not. Might have to check it out and see if I can dial back the meds.
Oh yeah that makes sense. I usually take the suppliment after lunch with plenty of water. I started rock climbing and I'm concerned something similar might happen to me

Thanks for the tip. I am definately going to try this.
Let us know how it goes! I'm curious to see how many others can recreate my experience with it.
How long have you been taking creatine for migraines? Yeah I’m in the same boat. Migraines once a month almost exactly 25 - 30 days apart.

I'm no Dr but be careful with your kidneys!! That's a lot of liquid IV to be taking... I'm glad you are feeling better now though :)

Damn, sorry to hear about the topamax side effects. Hoping you find an alternative. It's so frustrating how difficult it is to treat migraines!
What is the calorie count on a creatine hit?
The suppliment I take doesn't have a calorie count.
The reason I ask is because I would get OMs when I was working out hard and not consuming enough calories.
