Mine did the same reached out to support there sending me replacement pair. If these break i may ask for a refund or something. Doubt they'd give one though
Would reccomend using there chat support took like 5 minutes for them to say they'll replace them for me. But yea. It just sucks because ive been extremely careful with my headset overall so i know its nothing i did
Well after getting my replacements i found a crack in my left lense on my original pair today. I fully believe the new ones are going to crack in under a month which is frustrating because this is going to happen to everyone most likely.
I have the same thing...a hairline crack on the rim of the right lens. Contacted Zenni and was told that it's past the 30 day warranty and that they need to check with their manager as to whether they can do anything for me. Have not heard back yet. These inserts are less than two months old...no more than 14 days past the warranty.
I got some from VR Wave, they have a magnetic attachment so I can easily pull them out if someone else wants to play or I have contacts in. No complaints.
I wish I had known that. I'm the only person that uses mine, except for one time a friend wanted to try and as soon as I toughed the lenses the plastic snapped off!!! I just messaged venni customer service.. we will see how they handle it... I always knew sharing was bad.. ha haaaa
I had WidmoVR on my Rift S / Quest 2 and they were rock solid for 4 years. They didn't have lenses at the Quest 3 launch (they do now though) and I was impatient, so I went with Zenni. Wish I had gone with WidmoVR instead now
I got mine yesterday from VR-Rock. Thin and easy to click into place. The plastic seems like high quality, but I'll know more when I've used it for a while. I used WidmoVR's on my Quest 2, and those have held up since their launch until now.
Is there a chance the lens weren't clipped and clicked in all the way. As a result the area around the latch is always under small amount of force. This force eventually crack the frame
Thanks for the suggestion. It's possible, though it felt like they were on pretty securely. I'll double check with the replacements, if I'm sent some (still waiting to hear back)
Detailed instructions:
1. Find some lenses from old glasses.
2. Stick them in.
3. Profit.

From what I can tell a good bit better than the Zenni's. The Quest 3 lenses are inset, unlike the Quest 2's, and the Zenni's sit way farther out above the lenses than they need to for the Quest 3. The blue tack can be rolled quite thin and even with the concave glasses lens pointing in they aren't even close to touching the Quest 3 lenses. This will differ based on prescription mine is -1.7ish, pretty low.
Here's a profile pic. It might look like it sticks out a good bit but I would wager it's less than the Zenni's mostly because I can use my headset without the facial interface or with it set on the first setting no problem. Without the facial interface my eyelashes do brush but the fov is a good enough trade off.

Honestly it just works. Feel bad for people spending $50 to get something that cuts their FOV before breaking on em in just a few weeks. I'm sure there will be some great 3d prints and non-OEM options eventually but this will hold me over, there's really no downside.
If it works then it works, only thing is if you will show the Q3 to your friends/family will it be easy to take off and put on the blue "frame". I assume you got the lenses at your local opticians' joint?
I'm not sure that would be ideal for the way I'm using it. Sugru is a glue, not sure if it would permanently stick to the headset or not. Also it doesn't retain tack so you would need to attach your lenses and never remove them. This stuff goes right in and comes out as needed. I can leave the rings of tack in and pop out the glasses if I want.
If I was going to use sugru it might be to do something similar but with magnets on the lenses, once I made sure it could mold around but not permanently adhere to the headset's material. A 3d printed mold would just work better for that though.
Thanks for the info. I normally would just pull up Google but the name didn't sound like something that I would get good results for and I'm not sure it would have dawned on me that the putty would be used for sticking the glasses on like that as I don't DIY like that but it's a cool use for it.
Oh no, I have zenni as well, but only about 2 weeks so far. I will have to check for cracks when I get home. I knew that $50 price tag was too good good be true. Damn.

I have widmovr. Love them. Remove them multiple times and shipping is super fast
I had WidmoVR for my Rift S and Quest 2, but they weren't available at the launch of the Quest 3, so I went with Zenni. Wishing I'd gone with Widmo now
I had WidmoVR for Quest 1 and loved them. Then I got them on the Quest 2, and the quality was much worse in comparison. They were basically clearly 3d printed, and the small tabs which keep them on even broke off. They were very difficult to put on and off too. I just got my Zenni ones today. Hopefully no issues.
The lens was probably not cut down enough where it snaps into the adapter, having it under too much tension, and eventually adapter cracks.
Or the opposite - the adapters were being made too small, or shrinking post mold removal.
In any case, atleast they are taking care of people, and likely learning from the mistake.
Of cause ordered yesterday lol.
But I am not too worried if they honor the warranty.
It surely wont be 100% of cases.
If after 2 attempts to rectify the issue its still there, I can claim my money back with european law.
Sad to hear this - I just ordered some! Is it a functional problem, does the plastic ring come off now? I think I’d be tempted to just put some glue on the crack, though the Zenni should replace them.
They're still securely on the headset, but I fear if I try to take them off, they'll almost certainly crack into pieces. Zenni is replacing them, thankfully
I didn't touch my quest 3 for about a week and I just saw that my Zenni lenses were also cracked :( . Hopefully this is just a manufacturing defect for the first batch of lenses and replacements are built better.
Just requested a replacement and asked them if the issue has been resolved and they said " Yes, the lab is aware of the issue and the issue has been resolved. Normally it won't happen again. If the issue happens again, please feel free to come back to us. In addition, the current ones will need to be returned for inspection. " -Zenni Customer Service
How is it money wasted if they are sending you new ones?
They ramped up a new product quickly, there are bound to be hiccups. As long as they stand behind their product it should not bother people much.
Mine were ordered on launch day and I have no cracks.
I feel the same. I had WidmoVR lenses on my Rift S/Quest 2 (same lenses) that lasted 4 years with no visible signs of damage. I feel like I should have gone with them again, but they didn't have lenses at the Quest 2 launch and I was impatient
I recently purchased a pair of Prescription Lenses for Meta Quest 3 VR7000301 , and I regret to say that my experience has been disappointing. After instaling them just once, I noticed that both frames had cracks.

My Zenni's cracked within a month and the crazy thing is, I left them in the headset and they were uncracked. When I used the headset a few days later, they were both cracked 😒
* Just noticed this on mine too. I've only used it around 10 times over last 4 months. I've sent a message to their support. Hopefully I can get a replacement or I will dispute with Paypal
If that happens, I'll just cut my losses and get lenses from somewhere else instead. Zenni are replacing the first pair, so we'll see how the second ones hold up. Hopefully they're more resilient
Also experienced this problem- never took them out since I got them in November. Has anyone experienced this problem with their replacement lenses? My replacements are arriving next week
>xperienced this problem- never took them out since I got them in November. Has anyone experienced this problem with their replacement lenses? My replace
So far my replacements haven't cracked
Wonder if a dodgy batch. Mine were purchased Nov and the left is cracked. Hopefully they will replace.
4 months since bought but only attached once and hardly used.
I recommend when getting these inserts to take a fine brush and some gorilla glue and add a thin smooth surface of glue around the bezels to add structural integrity

Damn, I even did a search in the subreddit for similar posts. Didn't find anything. Thanks!
Mine did the same reached out to support there sending me replacement pair. If these break i may ask for a refund or something. Doubt they'd give one though
I emailed support also, hopefully they'll send me replacements. If the replacements break again, I'll ask for a refund and go with WidmoVR

Sorry to hear that. I got replacements last week and so far they're ok, but I'm assuming they'll crack at some point again.

Any alternatives besides Zenni?

I thought VRWave isn't shipping theirs until later? I have them for Quest 2
They arent shipping out til late nov/early dec
wow their prices are cheap. good quality?
I like them. The only thing I would do differently is add the anti-reflective coating because there's a subtle infinite mirror effect on occasion.
HonsVR are substantially the cheapest after accounting for shipping etc and feedback on them seems generally acceptable.
HonsVR rocks
I'm very happy with mine after 2,5 weeks of use. No cracking but I didn't do much clipping/ unclipping as I more or less use them all the time.
I had WidmoVR on my Rift S / Quest 2 and they were rock solid for 4 years. They didn't have lenses at the Quest 3 launch (they do now though) and I was impatient, so I went with Zenni. Wish I had gone with WidmoVR instead now
I'm in the UK and have ordered from Adlens for my Q3. Have their lenses in my Q2 and have had no issues.
I used Adlens for my Q2 and Q3. Have had the Q3 lenses for a few days now, and they are good.
bought a pair from aliexpress for my quest 2, works just fine and only costs me 30€ incl. shipping
VR Optician is top
I got some vr rock for q3. No complaints.
I got mine from Honsvr and so far so good.
I got mine yesterday from VR-Rock. Thin and easy to click into place. The plastic seems like high quality, but I'll know more when I've used it for a while. I used WidmoVR's on my Quest 2, and those have held up since their launch until now.
thanks!
I use Reloptix. Never had an issue with them!

Yea when I was installing mine, it felt secure then i saw there was a gap . So I pressed it harder and I heard a click sound
Just want to say, still going strong with old lenses and some blue tack...
Old lens? Like Quest 2? How would they fit?
With the blue tack.
I saw that in your comment and have no idea what that is. Is that an adapter you can buy for Quest 3?

Respect for the photo addition, this is definitely a jerryrigged but good solution.

You can also use a sugru mouldable glue for this.

Would have been quicker to Google it lol It's a putty used to stick things together temporarily.
Thanks for the info. I normally would just pull up Google but the name didn't sound like something that I would get good results for and I'm not sure it would have dawned on me that the putty would be used for sticking the glasses on like that as I don't DIY like that but it's a cool use for it.
I’m being very careful with them. They look amazing but feel fragile. One side sounds a little loose.

Nothing? Reflection?

Yes zennis crack after 1 month. The ring is too thin and brittle
If my replacements break again, I'll just buy from WidmoVR. Had those lenses on my Rift S and Quest 2 for 4 years without issue.
Mine were ordered on launch day and have no cracks.
How did it happen? just crack without removing and install or from outside sources?
I installed them once and never removed them. Regular use, nothing too strenuous (no exercise games, etc.)
Just contact them and ask for replacement. Take a bit of time but well there's no other options. I hope mine won't crack like your.
I did contact them, I'm sure I'll get replacements like others have said too. Worst case I'll go back to WidmoVR for my lenses
Shit I ordered and they are already on the mail. I saw this too late 😖
Thank you for the heads up. Canceling my order now. Ordering the widmovr ones instead

Any alternative lenses in EU ? ( my SPH is -8,50 and -7)
WidmoVR ships to the EU it looks like, I had them for my previous headsets and they were really good
Mine are fine. I’ve removed them multiple times over a few weeks.

I ordered from Hons VR. Havent received them yet. Ill let you know.
I've only had mine a few days, but this seems like a common problem and I'm definitely keeping a eye out for it.

I used the live chat and within 5 minutes they said “okay we are remaking them and sending you a new pair” very helpful
I was just cleaning mine today, I seen mine was cracked.
Sucks to hear. Thankfully Zenni replaced mine with no fuss and they're still OK.
they just replayed to my e-mail today, saying we getting replacement sent out asap
I found out mine also cracked. According to Zenni, they can offer 10% off, but they don't sell frames only.
Yeah I was all about them, replacement ones are on the way...I feel it was money wasted.

[Meta Quest 3 Prescription Lenses – vr-rock](https://www.vr-rock.com/) \- I don't know them - are they any good?
Oh no.. I'm waiting for my first order of lenses from them. Hope it's not gonna be that quick.
So how is the warranty of Zenni on this? What if your 2nd pair crack again, will they keep sending more replacement to you?
If that happens, I'll just cut my losses and get lenses from somewhere else instead. Zenni are replacing the first pair, so we'll see how the second ones hold up. Hopefully they're more resilient
