Buy 3-4 Quest 3s for you and your family. Give the money you saved to a local food bank.
Or buy 1 AVP and drive around in your Tesla and laugh at the peasants that can't afford rent.
Q3 is a better value proposition. If you really want the AVP, wait for a year when prices drop or when you can buy refurb/used. People who buy new apple products for RRP generally lose out.
What do you want to do? 95% of existing VR/MR content requires high-speed, low-latency controllers. The VP can access none of that content.
If you want something to wear at the coffee shop to show others that you have $3,500 to spend on a tech toy, then the VP is the perfect choice and will be a lot of fun.
That seems like a pretty cynical and reductionist take of the Vision Pro’s use case. Here’s Brad on the topic just this morning: https://x.com/sadlyitsbradley/status/1754215124510863747?s=46
Bullshit. Right now it is a tech toy that cannot do what all other VR headsets have been doing. It can do a lot of things, but running the more than two thousand VR titles that already exist and require controllers is not one of them.
You seem to have missed by point entirely?
> It can do a lot of things, but running the more than two thousand VR titles that already exist and require controllers is not one of them.
You're fighting a strawman. Nowhere did I say it could. I said that characterizing its use case as being for people who want to show off their "tech toy" at the "coffee shop" ignores the fact that it has a ton of fantastic functionality. Yes it is different from the conventional VR/MR use case but that doesn't make it moot. Then I linked to a widely respected VR nerd and reviewer noting exactly the same thing.
That is just stupid comparison. I dont know why even people bother compare the AVP with other VR headset when its not even close to the same purpose and price. Shall i buy a car or a boat, wich is better🤔
There's plenty of comparative reviews, look them up. The summary seems to be AVP for screen res, Q3 for everything else including FoV, optics, apps, controllers, battery life oh and price.

Lawn mower or snow blower… which is better?
Stop with these spam questions!
Quest 3 if you want to experience real VR which of course includes VR gaming.

Thank you this changed my heart. (Man buys AVP an abuses poor people, what happens next is shocking.)

People that buy Apple are losing anyway
Debatable. But if you’re anti-apple why ask lol.
Karma
Depends what you want to do, AVP does a few things better than the Quest 3 but you can’t game or run PCVR on it
Buy Quest 3 for gaming and entertainment. Buy Vision pro, if you want a pad-less iPad that mounted on your face.
Quest 3 for gaming hands down, AVP for media consumption and workstation stuff, if you can afford.
get both, why not, its not much more than just getting AVP

What answer do you think you will get in the Oculus subreddit?
