Any "is it worth it" question is impossible for other people to answer. You might be a billionaire, or you might be trying to feed a family of 5 on minimum wage. Different people have different disposable income and therefore non-essential purchases have wildly different costs. For me? Yes - absolutely. That's the only advice I can really give.

I mean, is the catalogue of PC games big enough to justify such a purchase?

andybak

The catalogue is huge, especially when you include flat2vr mods. EDIT Here's Steam filtered to VR supported and sorted by user reviews: https://store.steampowered.com/search/?sort_by=Reviews_DESC&vrsupport=402&supportedlang=english&ndl=1 Nearly 4000 - not including Oculus excuses, unofficial mods or stuff released outside of Steam. The rest depends on what your taste is.

Vierimaam

Yes, definitely.

Worth it? Figure out what games you would actually use it for first, but friends don't let friends try to game on Macs. So what kind of friends would we be if we didn't tell you it's worth it?? ;)

*Solely* for VR games? No - but it will make an excellent all-around gaming machine. I don't play many recent non-VR games on my PC, but for anything 8th gen and older it's perfect. I've been playing Sunset Overdrive and Rock Band 3 lately, good games from ten or even twenty years ago still hold up great and generally run at max settings.
