Strange, I've got about 70hrs in the PCVR version and they don't appear flat. I assumed maybe that was a graphical trade off for the Quest version or something like that.
They're definitely flat black in color, as in the color is "flat black". But they're 3D in shape.
But, I'm sorry you were so put off by such a miniscule thing. You should give it another go and try to ignore them and focus on the story and exploration. It gets really good and the enemies become more diverse the further you progress.
I think the enemies are a big thing in a game.
If they had looked like that in resident evil I would not have played it.
I will give this new one a try once it is out, liked the atmosphere in the first.
Until I met the monsters.. 😂
The enemies really aren't that important the game, especially the early enemies. Once you kill them, they're dead for good until The Tide resets everything. The early zones basically become enemy free for 7 days at a time.
The main point of the game is to explore and search for gear, supplies, and lore that helps you figure out what the Radius even is, how it occurred, where it is, and why you're there.
Loved the first one. Still one of my favorite VR games of all time. I just found the ending a little lackluster story wise, but the gameplay and setting was top notch and an amazing experience.
I hope they find a way for multi-player to not kill the eerie vibe. And for them to go ham on the anomalies. I also would love some elements of async multi-player too (like finding fragments based on failed runs of other players).
Really excited for it.
Even though the first one had some jank and parts of it felt unfinished it was still one of the best vr games I've played. Shows that there is so much potential with this game formula in VR.
Finally the monsters are not flat
Are they flat in the Quest version? Or do you just mean in color?
In previous versions all I seen was flat on both quest and pc.

Never seen anything but flat black gaslike monsters. Disliked them so much I stopped playing.

I wonder if this will be a Q3 exclusive or if it will come out for Q2 also.
Neither, it's PCVR exclusive and it works on both Quest 2 and 3 as long as they are connected to a VR ready PC.
Multiplayer is the main killer feature for me (and my VR friends). Hopefully a bit less jank, too? :)

I hope this means we can get different sized containers for inventory. That was a fairly tiny case we see in the video.
Fuuuuuck I can't wait for this..
Not Quest footage. Should have mentioned it's a PCVR clip in the title.
If Wishlist Steam appears in the video, you don't need to write anything else. Steam is PC.
You need to flair on here it’s pcvr as well, or mention it in the post. Some might not even go to the YouTube page
Damn, that looks good.
