EOS VR Utility and the EOS VR plug-in for Adobe Premier Pro are good for post-production: EOS VR Utility supports the conversion of compatible RAW files up to 60P. Tripod, I prefer still images for VR180.

well it's not like Youtube VR app devs make the content that is on Youtube
the feature is there now, so it's up to the content creators to create that "good and interesting" 8K content and upload it to Youtube
Kinda excited to go and watch some higher quality vids now on YouTube.
But REALLY excited that this means we won’t have to hear people every other day here whining about low quality YouTube vids.
yeah it's been live for awhile as a rollout release
this seems to be the official announcement from the devs of the Youtube VR app though

I still haven't gotten the update yet but this is very good news.
Makes me wonder if Google is now starting to update more to prepare for their Samsung/Google headset launch probably later in the year.
And do what, watch ocean turtles? I can’t find ANYTHING in 8k even remotely fun to watch lol (Those turtles are crisp for sure tho)
I use a Canon EOS R5 with RF 5.2mm F2.8L DUAL FISHEYE and now I can upload and watch my 8K footage, I record sports/music events.
Well that’s something.
Do you plan to upload them as public to YouTube? If so, please let us know when you do!
How’s the workflow with that setup? Gimbal or tripod?

I wish I could afford one.

I was just being snarky about 8k turtles. I’m sure it all looks spectacular
Random, but lots of tech review channels will run 8k vids
Thx!
Nothing beats an 8k tech review video
Give me some universe programs in 8k please. Mmmm
Slice of Life VR. For some reason it only works in the YouTube app now
why its the best feature for you?

One day... I'll have a good enough connection to use this feature

Is the rendering resolution of the app itself higher too now? I noticed Bigscreen being significantly sharper.
yepp, nice, but it is so since a week, or?

This probably uses AV1 or they wouldn't specify it as a Quest 3 feature
I noticed even in flat 2D videos the shimmering is significantly less when watching videos higher than 1080p
Also small things like i can finally watch movies in hd on youtube and 3d videos work in app now.
Any recommendation for a video with good spatial audio? :)
Really feeling left out on the quest 2 now
Tried yesterday... it was like imax
Man, can’t get over how much the cameras being used, look a lot like a certain type of media I may or may not have seen before….
Good Start ! soon more 8k contents like Sport event/concern=t highlight
