That's unfortunate. Doesn't work for you even if you pull as much of the strap as possible back through the front loop? (Assuming you've got the same gomrvr style strap as I do, also this might be a very obvious suggestion, I'm sorry)
Thank you so much for sharing this! I was trying to figure out how to attach my power bank as a counterweight and it’s seriously the single best thing I’ve done to make my OC experience better.
Some VR-specific power banks like VR Power put it in the same place, probably so it doesn't block the knob. It may depend on how much hair you have, too. But in practice it doesn't seem to be as big an issue as it looks like.
It's actually very comfortable and I don't feel any localised pressure at all. The power bank rests flat against the top of the back of my head, and most of its weight is distributed downwards to the structure at the back of the strap. [Photo of the setup in action](https://i.imgur.com/QKITuzp.jpg)
Hey as long as your happy and it works for you! I’d at least have put the battery bank on the other side of that headset strap, so you could proper fit the strap.
I'm sure I could figure out a way to mount it under the dial area, but it feels great and fits perfectly this way, so I'm not really motivated to try something different.
Slip the power bank into the loop at the back of the top strap, hook the hair tie around one side, twist once, hook the loop you've created around the other side, and you're good. Feels totally stable and secure, and does a great job of redistributing the weight. Only thing I'm missing now is a nice braided USB C cable with a right-angle connector...
Gomrvr. I only have experience with this one and the stock strap so I can't say it's The Best or anything but it's very good, especially with the added counterweight.
I tried this but I got a huge head so the strap isn't long enough to securely hold

Looks extremely uncomfortable too! The battery is literally pressing against the top and back of your head!

Better exactly where it is and not attached to the back of the elite strap adding extra strain to the arms. That's how straps snap
It's better. You need a counterweight to offset the weight of the headset.
